Raghav checked his watch again.

Only ten more minutes left. She will be here any moment.

He remembered the first time when he waited for her to arrive like this. . .

It was Jatin's engagement ceremony and Raghav was searching for one particular face but unfortunately, she was not there.

The ceremony went really well and both the bride and groom were really happy to be with each other. Raghav's mother was there to help Jatin's family. Even though both of them were best friends from childhood they grew up in different environment. Raghav hailed from a poor background and he had lost his father when he was really young. His mother worked really hard to raise him and Jatin's parents considered her as a part of their family. They showed no difference between him and Jatin. She did all the jobs she could and he understood his mother's hardships really well.

His plan was to complete his studies asap and grab the first job that lands on him. But it was Jatin's father who persuaded him to take MBA as he realized that Raghav is really a genius and promised to fund his education. He decided to make use of this opportunity and planned to start his own firm once he complete his course.

"Looking for someone?" Nikki asked as Raghav was sitting at a corner.

"Hmm? No . .Not really." He lied intentionally.

"So you are not looking for Pallavi? I thought you at least wanted to see her to say a simple sorry. Guess what? I was wrong!" Nikki said sarcastically.

"So . .she told you everything?" He again felt ashamed of his act.

"Nah! That day I saw her in the evening. She didn't told me anything but I knew something was wrong. She opened up when I persuaded her and now, I am super mad at you.

Jatin had told me everything about you and your anger issues but seriously Raghav, Pallavi was just trying to help you that day."

"I know. I am so sorry for my words. I actually wanted to meet her to apologize for the same. But did she skipped the function because I was gonna be here?" Raghav only wanted to see her once again.

"No. That's not the matter. She went to visit her brother in London!"

"London? So her family is settled there?"

"Actually my Pallavi lost her parents when she was just five. From that point, it was her uncle who is taking care of her and her brother. He decided not to get married to take care of his sister's kids. They grew up with him in London and now, her brother has joined the family business. Pallavi came back to India for her higher studies.

You know what Raghav? She is the apple of their eyes. Nobody has dared to raise their voice on her and you just insulted her in the middle of the road. If possible please apologize when she comes back next week."

Raghav had no words to say. He knew that he was at fault but now, he also knew that a girl like Pallavi, who was far above him, had decided to offer him help seeing his troubled condition and he, like an idiot, showed her an unnecessary attitude!

"Will she ever talk to me again?" He had no idea!

But he didn't knew that the very same girl will love him like no one else did. She trusted him and became his support system. She had immense wealth but he was her most valuable diamond. And just like that, one day he lost her!

He came back from his thoughts when he got a call from Ron.

"Sir, Ms. Sawant has arrived but Mr. Verma informed us that he will not come due to an emergency . Nonetheless, Pallavi ma'am will coordinate with us regarding the deal. He assured us that there won't be any delay in signing the contract."

Raghav felt like his heart is beating faster and slower at the same time. He is always brutally confident while facing the entire world but with Pallavi, things are different.

"Sir?" Ron called, as he didn't receive a response from the other side.

"You do one thing. Produce the contract papers in front of her and it must be strictly mentioned that she will be collaborating with our company during the course of this project and there is no backoff from that. Make sure that the deal is undeniable and inform me once she signs the papers." Raghav said in his authoritative tone.

"Y . .Yes, sir." Ron assured him in a terrified voice and cut the call.

Raghav remembered that her brother's company name was Mehra Groups. The fact that she is now working for Rohan Verma only confirmed his fears.

She doesn't need work for someone else. But now, she is doing do so for the Verma Groups. So, does it mean . . .Rohan is her . . .

Raghav couldn't think the rest.

After ten minutes, he got the call from Ron, informing him that Pallavi has signed the deal.

"She has agreed to our terms and conditions sir. She also told us about Mr. Verma's concerns and I gave her the required assurance as you had instructed me last night. We will get Mr. Verma's signature's tomorrow. Also sir, ma'am wants to meet you once before leaving. Shall I send her in?"

You should Ron! I was waiting to see her all these years. He wanted to say.

"Guide her to my cabin and make sure that you leave once she is here." He gave him clear-cut instructions.

After few minutes, he heard a knock. He asked her to come in while standing against the glass window, and gazing at the big world outside.

He heard her footsteps approaching him slowly and he immediately recognized her smell . . .the smell of Lavender flowers. His Pallavi is here . . .Just ten feet apart from him.

"Good morning sir. I am Pallavi Sawant and I am here to represent The Verma Groups. I will be the designer who will be coordinating with your firm for this deal, as per our CEO's instructions."

As soon as she completed her introduction, he slowly turned back and Pallavi got the shock of her life.

"Raghav?" she couldn't believe that he was standing right in front of her.

"Welcome back my Love!" he said with a smirk on his face.
