Destined Once Again for You

CHAPTER 5

 Pallavi fed Anu and put her to sleep and once Rohan arrived home she sat for dinner with him. Rohan noticed that Pallavi was unusually quiet during dinner. 

"What happened Pallavi? Is everything alright?" He looked at her with concern.

"Yes Rohan. Its just that . . .I am having a small headache." She lied to him.

"Pallavi are you okay? Is it severe?" He started getting restless.

"Relax Rohan. Its not like the previous ones. I will be fine." Rohan sighed after hearing her reply.

"How was the meeting?" He asked to change the topic.

"It went . . .well. I need to join their firm from this week; if possible from tomorrow." 

Pallavi decided to hide Raghav's identity from Rohan. Rohan knows everything about her past except for her lover's name and he might decide to drop his dream project if he comes to know who Raghav is!

"Yaa. I hope that this will be a new start for you. I have also heard that their C.E.O is a workaholic person, just like you. You two will really be a great match then." He said playfully.

Pallavi jerked from her position after hearing what he said.

"Acha Pallavi. You will be coordinating with them on behalf of our firm. I will check the progress from time to time. You work with . .what was his name. . .yes, Raghav! And consult me in case of any disparities. But I am sure that you are gonna perform beyond my expectations."

Pallavi just smiled at his words.

"I will do my best Rohan!" She know how much this project means to him and she is not gonna create a loss for him because of her history with Raghav.

After finishing the dinner, Rohan helped Pallavi with the chores and before going to his own room, he visited Anu and smiled at her sleeping figure. He gently placed a kiss on her forehead and went back to sleep.

It was around 11 p.m. when Pallavi went to bed after taking the shower. Anu was sleeping on the other side of the bed and Pallavi switched off the table lamp. As darkness consumed her she remembered her days with Raghav.

She had just return from London and was missing her bhai. She decided to take a walk that evening just to calm her mind when she heard someone calling her name from behind. She turned back only to see Raghav standing there with a hesitation.

What does he want now? 

She remembered the time when he openly declined her help by stating that she is not his girlfriend or wife. She saw him taking slow steps towards her and he finally stood in front of her.

"Hey!" He said with a smile but she was not ready to return the smile. 

"I know you don't wanna see my face but I wanted to see you!" he said looking straight into her eyes.

She could clearly see that he was upset.

"Actually. . . that day I lost my temper. I know you were just trying to help me and I don't have any right to yell at you like that but . . I did it. I admit that I am an idiot. I am sorry Pallavi." He said sincerely.

She stared at his face for a while and said:

"Tea or coffee?" He got confused for a moment.

"Huh?"

"You like tea or coffee?" she repeated her question.

"Tea, but why are you asking this question?"
