Appearance: Giyuu has short, choppy raven-black hair of uneven lengths that reaches the back of her neck, with side-bangs that reaches her jaw. Her eyes are sharp, the irises being a lapis blue and its pupils being a navy blue. On her left cheek there is a scar that almost resembles a lightning.
She wears a black, sleeveless, turtleneck shirt under a long sleeved, dark blue coat that is cut around her hip. The coat is buttoned all the way up, the buttons painted black. Around her wrists are two cloths tied. The one on her right wrist is a carmine colour, while the one on her left wrist is geometrically patterned rhombi prints, in green, dark green, orange, and yellow. She wears a set of long, wide, dark blue pants and lastly, black boots without any platform.
During the Grand Magic Games, Giyuu wore a black button-up jacket over a dark blue undershirt, with golden buttons, stand collar and long sleeves, a white belt, and a tattsuke hakama pants wrapped by white , having a pair of white with dark blue straps and underneath being the same color as her uniform.
Personality: Giyuu is a woman who wears calm expression on her face, her aura and demeanor soothing to those around her. Not only that, but she posseses a very strong sense of justice and responsability, having no tolerance towards those who don't know their own limitations and throw away their lives, even if they're apart of Fairy Tail. She shows zero hesitation to those who harm her guild, her protectiveness of them very clear in her actions, which she shows her fondness of her family instead of words.
She is somewhat open to her guild, she is very awkward when it comes to words and not very good at social interactions. She tries her best, but she is better at stepping back and choosing to observe the situation. She has told the Master how she doesn't like talking, and how she's not good at conversations.
Still, she is very caring and protective. She has put her life on the line many times for her guildmates, defending them. She even hesitated when it came to fighting Laxus when he tried to overtake the guild, choosing to fight him even with all of the doubts in her mind.
