"Feeling better now, my friend?" Akihiro asked Akaza, who just hummed in response. The feeling of the shorter woman's hands working on his shoulders felt good, really good, it made his body relax visibly. At both his verbal and physical answer, her animal ears visibly perked up, her tail swinging from side to side in joy.
"Thank you, Akihiro." he mumbled, closing his eyes. The woman chuckled at that, gently patting his head.
"No problem." she nodded, relishing in the way that Akaza leaned onto her touch "I assume Muzan's been giving you a lot of trouble with finding the Blue Spider Lilly?" she asked.
"Yeah. You know how he is." he nodded. She sighed. Yes, she knew how he was. There was a reason as to why she chose to severe the connection she had to the man and snap out of his control, which meant to give up her rank. But she still chose to do so. And she did not regret it one bit.
Once Akihiro finished the massage, she stepped away, watching as Akaza stretched himself. "Good to see I helped, Akaza." she chuckled. The uppermoon nodded, turning to the other demon.
"Thank you for being some sort of rock for me to lean on." he shook his head "I rarely get to be vulnerable with others."
"Because you're a tsundere?" Akihiro joked, a smirk on her face. Her features softened into a smile as she laughed at the reaction Akaza gave her, which was a look consisting of a mix of annoyance and disappointment.
"Very funny." the uppermoon said as he let out a sigh, his voice laced with sarcasm. The woman's laughs weakened into soft giggles almost immediately.
"Sorry, sorry! It's just so worth it." she chuckled, shaking her head. A silence fell over the two as the woman walked over to the shelf.
"You know, I found out some things." she started "Things that are... sort of concerning." Akaza raised a brow at her words, noticing the way her tone changed into one more serious.
"Akihiro?" he called. She turned to him as she took out a notebook. She gently tossed it on the table, Akaza's eyes drawn towards it immediately.
"Let's just say... Even humans can be crueler than us demons."
Akaza looked at her with more confusion as he opened the notebook before he looked down at the contents. To his shock, the notebook was filled with data on the Demon Slayer Corps' punishment unit. "What... What the..."
"These records weren't stolen. These are copied." Akihiro explained, crossing her arms below her chest "Did you know that the punishments were practically forbidden ever since the 54th leader of the Demon Slayer Corps started leading?" she said, her tone slowly souring more as a look of anger appeared on her face.
"What does this have to do with anything?" Akaza questioned, looking at the woman with confusion. He didn't understand what she was trying to say, or whatever point she was trying to make.
