Olivia stormed back into the dining room, her face flushed with anger, her heart pounding in her chest. The sound of her family's accusations still rang in her ears, but now, it was fueled by a burning sense of betrayal. She couldn't remain silent anymore.

As she re-entered the room, all eyes turned to her, startled by her return. Matthew, standing at the head of the table, wore a mask of calm superiority, while the rest of the family sat with tense postures, their faces twisted in a mix of disgust and confusion.

Olivia's voice cracked through the oppressive silence, shaking with both rage and pain. "How dare you?" she shouted, her eyes darting from one family member to the next. "How dare any of you stand there and judge me! You have no right!"

The family was stunned by her defiance, but it didn't take long for their anger to flare back up. Clara was the first to react, her eyes narrowing. "No right? Olivia, you've been lying to us all this time! You've put everyone at risk!"

"I lied because I knew this is how you'd all react!" Olivia shot back. "You don't care about me. You're only concerned with appearances, with how this might affect your precious reputation. But none of you have bothered to ask how I've been feeling, or what I've been going through!"

### **The Family's Fury**

Her words stung, but instead of softening their anger, it only seemed to fuel it further. Aunt Beatrice was the next to lash out. "You've been hiding a sickness, Olivia. What if it's something contagious? Do you expect us to sit here and just ignore the danger?"

"That's exactly what I expect!" Olivia snapped, her voice growing louder. "I expect my family to care more about me than some ridiculous fear of disease! You don't even know what's wrong with me, and yet you've all condemned me!"

Charles, their father, stood up from his seat, his face flushed with frustration. "That's enough, Olivia," he growled, his voice low but simmering with anger. "You've caused enough trouble tonight."

But Olivia was too far gone to back down now. "No, it's not enough!" she shouted, her voice shaking. "I've listened to your insults, your accusations, but not one of you has shown me an ounce of compassion. You all sit there, so quick to judge, as if you're perfect. Well, let me tell you, you have no idea what I've been going through!"

### **Matthew's Manipulation**

As Olivia's words hung in the air, Matthew stepped forward, his expression one of feigned concern. "Olivia," he said softly, his voice dripping with false sympathy, "no one here wants to hurt you. We're only worried for your well-being... and the family's safety."

Olivia whirled on him, her eyes blazing. "Don't pretend to care about me, Matthew. This is all your doing, isn't it? You couldn't wait to turn everyone against me, to make me the villain so you could play the hero!"

Matthew's face remained calm, but there was a flicker of something darker in his eyes. "I'm only trying to help, Olivia," he said smoothly. "But you've left us no choice. Hiding your condition, keeping secrets from the family—it's dangerous. I did what I had to do to protect everyone."

"Protect them?" Olivia scoffed, her voice thick with sarcasm. "You mean control them, like you always do! This has nothing to do with protecting the family—it's about you and your endless need to be in charge!"

### **Charles Loses Control**

Before the argument could escalate any further, their father, Charles, exploded in a fit of anger. "Enough of this!" he roared, slamming his hand down on the table, rattling the silverware. His face was red with fury, his patience worn thin by the escalating tension.

"You've embarrassed this family enough for one night, Olivia," he continued, his voice shaking with rage. "You're acting like a child, throwing tantrums instead of taking responsibility for what you've done! You've lied to us, hidden your illness, and now you stand here, shouting at your own family, as if we're the ones in the wrong!"

Tears of frustration welled in Olivia's eyes, but she refused to let them fall. "I hid it because I didn't want this to happen! I didn't want to be treated like an outcast, like some diseased thing you can just lock away!"

Charles pointed toward the door, his voice rising to a shout. "Go to your room, Olivia. Now. I won't listen to another word of this. You've caused enough damage for one night."

Olivia stood there, trembling with a mixture of anger and heartbreak. For a moment, it looked as if she might say something more, but then her shoulders sagged, the fight draining out of her. Without another word, she turned and walked out of the dining room, her footsteps echoing through the silent halls.

### **Matthew's Final Move**

As Olivia disappeared from sight, the family sat in stunned silence. Matthew watched her leave, his expression unreadable. He had won. The family's anger was now squarely directed at Olivia, and he had positioned himself as the reasonable one—the one who had "tried" to help, only to be rebuffed.

"Well," he said quietly, breaking the silence, "I didn't want it to come to this. But Olivia left us no choice. I hope, for her sake, she learns from this and starts being honest with us."

Clara nodded, still shaken. "We had to do something. She was putting us all at risk."

The rest of the family murmured in agreement, their anger still simmering beneath the surface. Matthew's calm, rational demeanor only made their resolve stronger. In their eyes, Olivia had become the problem, and Matthew, as always, was the solution.

As the dinner wound down, the family dispersed, leaving the table one by one. The storm had passed, but the damage had been done. Olivia was now isolated, banished to her room, while Matthew quietly took control of the household, his manipulation complete.

But deep within the manor, in the quiet solitude of her room, Olivia sat alone, her mind swirling with anger, hurt, and a growing sense of determination. She wasn't going to let Matthew win—not without a fight.
