Wonder Woman & The Adventures Of Donna Troy (Part 8)

Hecate's last stand

A few days later Diana and Donna wait on the coast of Boston 

Donna "Have you ever thought about moving out of Boston?"

Diana "I did but Becca and I agreed to stay here. It is both our homes and whilst we work to save the world, Boston is where I first touched the soil outside of Themyscira. It is where I was fostered, fell in love and where Wonder Woman was born. Becca and I dreamed of owning a house far away from a city, but we are always needed. Our mission of peace has progressed and we do take time off, but to retire has never been on our cards"

Donna "Well with the combined effort of me, Dinah and Mera, maybe you can. And perhaps you can have a daughter of your own. You and Becca raising a girl who is a dual citizen of here and Themyscira"

Diana slightly chuckles "I have explained before, as delightful as that may be, Becca and I are devoted to our work. Becca has talked about this before, she has offered to take a step back and perhaps adopt or pray for a child but after talks, she agreed not to. Maybe one day, maybe one day we can raise a child but for now, we persevere in our mission of peace. I am considered a mother figure to the young people on Earth, that to me, is heartwarming. The ability to allow parents to raise their kids safely with a smile is what my ideals guide me to do"

Donna "Well I think you and Becca would make great mothers"

Diana smiles and then Mera jumps from the sea

Diana "Mera!"

The two friends hug and Mera turns to Donna

Mera "Well, haven't you grown?"

Donna goes red and Diana interrupts "It is a long story that I will explain one day"

Mera nods "I found a way to Hecate's lair. After vigorous work, we tapped into multiple secret waterway branches leading directly to it. Follow me"

Diana and Donna dive in and follow Mera. They swim through rapid water tunnels and eventually see a purple glow near the sea bed. Mera holds back and the sisters advance. Diana looks back and nods her head and Mera returns. The sisters then land in the lair, familiar to both of them. Donna gets flashbacks and Diana comforts her

Diana "Keep your head strong sister, this place does not bring either of us happy memories but soon, it will be a thing of the past"

Hecate then appears "Well, if it isn't the daughters of Hippolyta, the messengers of Athena, the victims of the underworld"

Diana "You broke the goddess law and tried to create universe imbalance. Resurrecting a planetary enemy, abducting a girl to make her your weapon. This ends here, we Wonder Women are the protectors of this beloved world"

Hecate "How brave of the goddesses to once again let the Amazons do their work"

Donna "It is more than our birthright to do this, it is our passion to spread the peaceful ideals our mother historically upkept"

Hecate "Such a shame you sided with them Donna Troy. You would have flourished as my child and Paula's right hand woman"

Donna "You are wrong, you tried for 5 years to turn me into a weapon but due to the pureness of my heart and the love I received from my family, I fought it and used the anti-Amazonium to power me. It breathes through my veins and I have used it as a gift for good. This has brought me closer to my sister and mother, despite all the odds"

Hecate "So naive child, to think the metal I helped create can play to your tune. If you want conflict so be it! Killing the daughters of the Amazons is no large feat for a goddess"

Diana and Donna ready themselves and a huge mystical fight begins. They attack and defend, Amazon power vs underworld magic. Diana takes the primary whilst Donna assists but Hecate proves to be a difficult enemy

Hecate "You needed your wife's help to resurrect you Diana, what makes you think you can defeat me now!?"

Diana pushes on but gets wounded along with Donna. They are pushed back as Hecate spawns a few zealots from her own body. Donna turns to Diana

Donna "Quantity or difficulty?"

Diana "Difficulty"

Donna focuses on the zealots whilst Diana focuses on the true monster. Donna struggles but she manages to fend off the zealots and destroys them one by one. Diana and Hecate fight

Hecate "You dare step foot inside the home of a goddess? You took away my daughter, I will not let you take her!"

Diana "She was not your daughter and neither is Donna. Your lust to abduct and weaponize young women is disgraceful. Your loneliness cannot be compensated by betraying your origins and the laws of the universe"

Hecate grows angry and furiously attacks Diana, she drives her fist into Diana's stomach and brutally wounds her, Donna clears the zealots and before she can turn to Diana she is tackled by Hecate. Hecate then begins to absorb Donna's power which weakens her

Hecate "You were a fool to run away with me. I can perfect you, raise you, together we could take over the heavens. You can see your true parents, the ones that died at the hands of humankind. I can use you to bring them back, to bring you to a truer home away from the Amazons who have kept you hidden and refused to show your potential"

Donna grows weaker and looks at Diana catching her breath and holding her stomach tightly.

Donna turns to Hecate "I am home"

Donna then grabs Hecate and receives her powers back, this time using her internal powers to absorb Hecate's strength

Donna "Like my sister said, I have a new role in this world, I am her protector. The powers you gave me were of ill intentions, I was always an Amazon at heart and nothing can defeat her purity. This ends here Hecate, for the goddesses will always be my guide as well as my loved ones. You tried to initiate imbalance, wounded my sister and historically helped to oppress the civilized world whilst hiding cowardly in this lair"

Hecate screams as Donna absorbs more power and knocks her down
