The school day was over, I got my belongings and went to my locker. As I was putting my books away and getting my bag, Vincent was there, he was leaning to the locker beside me. "Yo!" He said and winked to me. "What?" I said in a monotone voice. "You okay? You sound dead." He noted. "Don't even bother!" A voice shouted. "She's so stuck up and uptight!" The same voice said again. Jessica, one of those typical bitchy ass divas that exist almost everywhere. As you can see, we don't get along. "At least I'm not bangin' up every guy I see." I announced. "What?" She said after gasping, "O-M-G, she did not just say that." She said babbling while giving another one of those diva gasps and shocks. "Well, you heard it, did you not? You should go see a doctor, maybe you need a hearing aid", I indicated. "Ouuu, your quite the fierce one aren't you?" Vincent said while smirking. "Hey! Why are you defending her? Who's side are you on?" Jessica shouted. "I'm much better than her! Out of all the girls you can choose, why are you with her?! she added with a scream. "I wouldn't really call that defending", Vincent answered. "And of course I'm on this girls' side, she's quite the something, you know?" He said while pulling me closer towards him. "Don't touch me" I said while taking a few steps away from him.

"Hmm..?" He said while smiling. "Playing hard to get?" He spoke once a again. "No, don't touch me, your weird." I said taking a few more steps away. "She's so rude! How can you like someone like her?!" "Jealous?" I asked. "W-wh-what!? O-of course not!" Jessica said all flustered while turning a bit red." I kinda wanted to tease her a bit, it's been a while since I've done so, and she's always acting like ugghh... And it's not only to me, but everyone that doesn't obey her. So, I took this chance to play around for a bit. I walked towards Vincent and hid behind him while tugging onto his shirt as if I was scared of something and saw Vincent as a superior older brother that would comfort me or something. Kind of like something that happens in one of those repulsive disgusting sis cons. I peeked my head out from the side to see Jessica's reaction. Vincent pulled me closer towards him again and played with my hair. "You two don't get along I see." He whispered in my ear. "Of course, she's an idiot". I replied. "W-what are you guys talking about?! Stop doing that!" Jessica shouted. "Stop doing what?" Vincent asked as he hugged me from behind. "Watch what your doing, go too far and I'll throw you down. I don't intend for any movement in this moment to be real." I said and glared at him.

"Hmm.... Really..?" He said in a playful but weird tone. "Then let's just see how far I can take this now." He said smirking. "W-what do you mean?! What do you plan to do?!" Vincent quickly grabbed my arm and pushed me against the wall and lowered his head down to my neck as if he was going to sniff it or something. "What are you doing? I said don't touch me. I should punch you." I said glaring at him again while staying calm. "ARRGHHH!! I don't-- I-- How can you even-- Why-- UGHH!! I don't like you anymore!" Jessica screamed in a loud and aggressive voice while storming down the hallway. "It's alright, I was never into girls like you anyway." Vincent stated. "Now, where were we?" He questioned me while he reached for my arm and pulled me in front of him making him hug me from behind. I gave a sigh, and said "Well, Jessica's gone so..." "Hmm...? He smirked at me. With my right arm, I raised a part of it upwards to form and L shape and pushed back quickly. "Ow! Hey! What was that for?" Vincent fell against the side of the wall.

"Hey, I told you not to touch me, idiot." I answered. "I thought we had something going on" He replied. "I should slap you. Your a creep." I said to him. "That still hurts, your know?" Vincent said holding his right rib with his back bent leaning against the wall. "Relax. That wasn't so bad, I could have thrown you down the stairs." I said lightly flipping my hair. "Damn, why so tense girl?" He questioned. "I didn't do anything wrong." He added to his statement. "What? You didn't do anything wrong? Your an idiot." I nagged. "Your quite the interesting one." He admitted. "What is with you? Quite, quite, who talks like that?! Your such a creep!" I pointed out. "When you see me again, don't talk to me." I ordered. "Your weird." I added and left, making my way out of the school and back home.

The next day, everything was usual. There was nothing interesting or worth reporting. As class went on, I was upstairs in the library. I'm what teachers would say a top role model student around here. I have excellent grades and an overall average above 90%. Although, I don't have the best attendance. I don't skip, I'm in school of course, just not always in my classes. I traveled in different parts of Asia, the education is highly strict there. I spent a lot of time studying to get where I am now. So here, in America, education isn't anything like there, although, people here as always complaining about how much they have. Compared the education in Asia, the work here would be a relaxation resort. Even during our break and holidays in Asia, we get piled, piled up with a ton of work. My point, education is slow here, Asia learns at a faster pace so most of the times when I attend class here, I get extremely bored. I spend a lot of my time in the library, learn ahead by myself and help out. The librarian and I are good friends. She allows me to be here whenever I want, helps me out. In a way, she's kind of like a guardian to me. Shes' even allowed me to take out more than the number of books allowed and keep them for a longer period of time than everyone else.

I then remembered, I had I book I was done reading, but It was in my desk in my science class. Well, turns out, I had science at that time too. I left the library and headed for the classroom. As I got there, I just walked in, nobody really cared since I just come and go as I please except for a certain person. Vincent. Ughh. Out of all the science classes he could have been put it, why the same one as me? I sighed. Well, at least it was only one class. I noticed, he kept staring at me. As I got to my desk, I heard a voice. "Hey!" Vincent whispered. I looked at him, and then turned away without answering him. "Heyy!" He whispered once again. I looked at him again and said "I told you, when you see me again, don't talk to me. Your weird." "Huhh? So you don't want to be partners?" He asked. "What?" I said in a puzzled tone. I grabbed my book and headed straight for the door, I didn't like where this was going. Anything having to do with partners didn't exactly work out with me. "Yume." The teacher said in a questionable tone that went upwards. I didn't say anything, instead, I just stopped and looked at the teacher. Won't you stay with us for this bit? We're deciding our partners for this upcoming pro-- "No." I clearly stated in a dead but aggravated tone. "Haa.... That went down quickly." Said Ms.An. "I'd rather work by myself like I've always done." I told her. "But Yume, you've always neglected working with others. Your a great student, but in terms of character traits, you should aim for a higher title in teamwork." She replied. "You may pick any student you would like to work with, the rest will be paired by my decisions." Claimed Ms. An. "What?!" "Hey!" "Why only her?" "That's so unfair!" "Who will she pick?" "Why do all the teachers favor her?" "It's always her!" I heard all sorts of things coming from the students. "Can I just work alone?" I asked. "I'm not interested, I'm fine by myself". I told her. "But Yume, you see--" "I'm not interested." I restated once again. "I'll come back later." I said while making my way out of the classroom. "Perhaps." I said softly as if it was made to be a side comment. I made my way out of that floor and back up to the library. I returned the book and went back to the bookshelves to find another book.

The time for lunch was finally here. I left the library once more and approached my locker. And... what do you know, Vincent was there. I sighed and opened up my locker to put my books away but I was interrupted. My books suddenly fell to the ground and I felt this warmth from behind. "W-what are you doing? Creep. Weirdo. I told you to stop bothering me." "No, you said not to talk to you." He answered. "You really don't like following instructions. If there was a fire or something and someone told you to evacuate, you would stay?" I asked. "If you were still in that fire, than of course. I wouldn't leave until you got out." He explained in a playful tone. "Your an idiot." I stated out aggressively. "Is that your catchphrase?" He asked. I just stared at him and said "I will hit you again if you don't let go." "Let's be partners. I already asked Ms.An, she said she's okay with it." Vincent revealed. "What." I deadly and bluntly said.
