The tragedy that befell Visenya Velaryon— a girl of four-and-ten— at Storm's End was never planned. The first battles in the Dance of the Dragons were fought with quills and ravens, with threats and promises, decrees and blandishments. The murder of Lord Beesbury at the green council was not yet widely known; most believed his lordship to be languishing in some dungeon. Whilst sundry familiar faces were no longer seen about court, no heads had appeared above the castles gates, and many still hoped that the question of succession might be resolved peaceably.

The Stranger had other plans. For surely it was his dress hand behind the ill chance that brought the princess and prince together at Storm's End, when the dragon Arrax raced before a gathering storm to deliver Visenya Velaryon to the safety of the castle yard.

Vhagar sensed the princess and her dragon first. Guardsmen walking the battlements of the castle's mighty curtain walls clutched their spears in sudden terror when the beast of old woke with a roar that shook the very foundations of Durran's Defiance.

Even Arrax quailed before that sound.

As she slid off her dragon, Visenya tried to sooth him, "Lykirī, Arrax."

However, even she was unsettled at Vhagar's presence. She knew what it meant.

Her uncle was here.

Her uncle who had hated her for years due to her taking his eye trying to defend her brother. She regretted that Aemond had lost his eye but she didn't regret defending Jace.

However, she didn't want to disappoint her mother so she tried to swallow her fear as she hurried to the castle, her mother's message clutched in her hand.

"I am Princess Visenya Velaryon. I bring a message to Lord Borros from the Queen." She announced to the guards

Said guards exchanged looks before they opened the gates.

"This way, Princess." a guards said before leading the way to where the Lord was

She followed him without a word.

"My Lord, Princess Visenya, daughter of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen." the guard announced as they stepped into the room

In the Round Hall, she saw Lord Borros and his four daughters.

And then, she saw him. His hate filled eye trained on her.

Aemond took a step closer to her, but she held her ground, "Look at this sad creature, my Lord," he called out, "Little Visenya Strong, the bastard daughter of the Whore of Dragonstone."

She glared at him for the insult leveled at her mother. She knew the whispers about she, Jace and Joff being bastards.

But Jace had said it didn't matter. They were Targaryens.

"You are wet, bastard. Is it raining or did you piss yourself in fear?" her uncle asked

She ignored him and looked at the Lord, "Lord Borros, I brought you a message from my mother, the Queen."

Borros nearly scoffed, "Yet earlier this day, I received an envoy from the King. Which is it? King or Queen? The House of the Dragon does not seem to know who rules it." he told the young princess

"There is only King Aegon." The one eyed prince told the man, "The Whore of Dragonstone is simply a pretender."

Once again, Visenya ignored what her uncle said about her mother. She had promised her mother to be a messenger and nothing more.
