Amidst the stars and planets the metal ship drifting around the humans planet is quiet. The controls and machinery occasionally beep and whirl which are the only sounds in the ship. Deep within an icy cold chamber are dozens of pods made of glass and metal where the lizarthraxians are sleeping in. Agatha in particular the blue eyed white lizarthraxian dreams of having a human as her pet. She dreams of whipping the human, gloating about herself to the human and even sparring with the human. The other lizarthraxians in cryo sleep dream of bloody battles while some of them dream of laboratories and experiments. All is quiet in the ship save for the sounds of whirling and beeping coming from the machines.

On the other hand among the humans on the planet Duncan is covered in bandages and stuck in a deep sleep. He lays on a bed of furs and straw with most of his bruises and wounds having been healed. He dreams of two large crocodiles covered in deep black scales encircling each other in a lake. The two crocodiles seem almost affectionate as they nuzzle each other's snouts. But then one of the two crocodiles sinks down into the depths of the lake as the water begins to bubble and ripple violently while turning a sickening red color.

With a gasp Duncan wakes up in a cold sweat and glances around when he realizes he's in his room he calms down and takes a deep breath. He stands up and checks the damage to his body and surprise flickers across his face.

Duncan/mind: 'Fully healed but in such a short time that could only mean the shaman had paid me a visit while I was out.'

Duncan removes his bandages and puts on some leather and fur clothes. He steps out of his room and finds only his mother to be in the house. When she turns to look at him she forces a smile on her face despite her nervousness.

???: "Sweetie your awake."

Duncan's mother says to him in a warm tone of voice but he just eyes her coldly.

Duncan: "Where is father?"

Duncan's question is delivered flatly which shakes his mother a bit but she hesitantly responds.

???: "He went out into the forest he needed time to think is what he said."

Duncan's mother says to him while avoiding eye contact and a tense silence passes between them. Duncan then moves passed her with a cold demeanor but she grabs his shoulder.

???: "Wait!"

She says to him and he turns to face her with utter indifference which surprises her as she takes a step back.

???: "I-I haven't been the best mother to you. I've been harsh and cold and...you don't deserve to be treated that way."

She says to Duncan in an apologetic tone of voice but he simply turns around with a grunt.

Duncan: "What? So I suddenly win a few matches and all of a sudden you want to care about me?"

Duncan says to his mother in a harsh tone of voice and she diverts her gaze down in shame.

Duncan: "I'm going out hunting don't bother me again."

Duncan snatches his spear and leaves his house leaving his mother standing there in shame. He passes many tribe members who look at him with mixed expressions of respect and surprise. But he completely ignores them and instead heads into the outskirts of the village. Deep within the valley he stands in the waters of a lake and carefully observes the fish swimming around. He stands still and waits for the fish to come closer. Then he plunges his spear through several fish one after another he counts the fish and decides to catch more. He spends well over an hour spearfishing until he's gotten a good haul. Duncan then cooks the fish over a fire and wraps them up in large and thick leaves using thin rope.
