To help their daughter feel better, Nora and Henry decided to bring [NAME] with them for a calm, family walk to Metropolis' pier. Knowing that the girl liked the place.
As they walked, the saw her with a rather down expression. Henry patted her head with a soft expression and [NAME] looked up at him, smiling.
"Don't be sad, dear. Everything will get better eventually" Nora tried comforting her.
"I know, mom, but I can't help it. I've already been working for months there, and I grew quite attached to my bosses" [NAME] said.
As the three approached the pier, they saw teenagers taking off their Lexcorp VR headsets and leaving them on the floor, then going away like nothing happened.
Henry took a pair. "I will never understand these gadgets" He said, analyzing them.
"Teenager things, dad" [NAME] said smiling.
Henry shrugged and left them in the place he found them, as soon as they started to walk to the pier again, they started to hear loud sounds and shouting.
When they arrived, they were surprised to see a big crowd and the pier totally destroyed. As well as... a giant robot in the middle?
[NAME] and her parents approached the scene and stared at a group of boys who were in the middle of the pier, all wearing hero suits. [NAME] smiled, recognizing the hero group from yesterday at Sweet Justice.
Soon enough, police officers arrived to the scene when a blonde girl exited the giant robot. "No fair!" She shouted.
"There she is, mom, see?" A bald guy, who was no other than young billionaire Lex Luthor, stepped out of a car and said to his mother. "Told you she stole my stuff" He was visibly unamused and so was his mother.
"Lutessa Lena Luthor, you get in this car right now" Ms. Luthor ordered the young girl.
"You can't make me" The girl said and pouted.
So, Lex's parents had to drag her to the car. "No!" She shouted various times while hitting the car's window.
"Oh, I'm so sorry about your war suit, Lex" Ms. Luthor said to him.
"Don't worry, mom. I'm just happy that little tyke is all right" He said.
Lena stuck out her tongue at him, and he did the same.
"Oh, you think next time you can get those cupcakes you promised?" Ms. Luthor asked Lex, smiling.
"Ha! Already on it, mom. I am not saying goodbye to the best snicker doodles in Metropolis" He said.
Back to [NAME], she and her parents walked to the front of the crowd and saw the hero group. People were very thankful to them and praised them.
Some Boy Scouts were all proud for the new hero group being boys. So it seems that they earned that hero group name.

It wasn't long until Sweet Justice had a grand re-opening, and [NAME] was back working there, and so were her bosses.
She looked around, proud to have the café full inside and all the seats taken outside too. Many of the usual regular clients were also there, enjoying the best desserts the place could offer.
Barnaby and the boys approached her. "Hi, [NAME]!" They all greeted with smiles on their faces.
"Hey, guys, what's up, everything great? Everything fine? Sure hope so!" She smiled. "The usual? Or the new?" She asked.
James looked at the menu. "Ooh, new sweets available" He said, handing the menu to the group.
"And to celebrate our re-opening, we have a 50% discount on everything!" [NAME] smiled. "All thanks to that cool new hero group" She mentioned. The boys seemed to smirk at each other, and [NAME] had no idea why.
They all gave her their orders, and she had them done by the moment they finished speaking. They went to sit on a table by the corner.
Zee leaned on the chair and relaxed. "This is life" He sighed, relaxed. "Good friends and good chocolate" He held a plate with sweets.
"It's nice to see certain energetic girl back to business" Kal mentioned pointing at [NAME], who was greeting customers and attending them in an instant. The others smiled, seeing her.
"And to have everything back to normal" James said.
Barnaby stood in front of them. "Blah, normal's overrated" He said and slurped his boba tea.
"Mmh, remember when we first came here, and Dean said he wanted to be at this place all the time?" Barnaby asked.
"Yeah" Kal replied confused.
Barnaby looked around and moved some straws, making a mechanism function and dropping the boys in a dark room.
[NAME] walked around the café, asking the clients about their desserts and if they needed anything else. She approached the boy's table and looked up from a clipboard.
"Hi guys, are you-" She noticed the boys were nowhere to be seen, and their table was completely empty.
"Guys?" She asked, looking around but not seeing them. She shrugged and supposed they already left.

Where the boys fell was a dark room, until a light shined upon them. Barnaby stood in front of them. He moved aside, and multiple lights started to reveal various sections of the dark room. Each decorated differently.
One had a puff cushion, a guitar, candles and books. The next one magic related things and even a picture of "Zee Zatara". Next was one with a bat-like setup, batman posters and a motorbike. Then, one with a Roman-like helmet, arrows, a bow, spears, etc. Up next, a section with computers and many technological things. And finally, a gym with an electric guitar.
The boys stared amazed at everything.
"Ta-da!" Barnaby shouted. "It's our own home base!"
"I took a few late night trips to the construction site while they were rebuilding" Barnaby explained, playing with a batarang.
"Truly, this is a place of wonder" Dean admired.
"Not bad, Baz. Nice jobs" Kal said, jokingly kicking Barnaby's shoulder.
"We can protect the whole city from here. No bad guy stands a chance" James said.
"Not with the Super Hero Boys on the case" Barnaby exclaimed, with his fist in the air.
"Aww" Kevin said, looking at a newspaper from Daily Planet. That had "The Super Hero Boys" as the headline.
"Okay, but we really should have chosen a better name..." Kal said.
