"Are you certain of what you're saying?" King Jung's voice broke the silence, "How can this be possible?"
"Yes, my king," the commander confirmed, "Our princess has been secretly slipping away, evading the palace's watchful eyes, only to meet with him."
King Jung's fists clenched, his knuckles white against the dark wood of the windowsill. "My daughter..."
"I'm sure the princess is unaware of his true identity," the commander added cautiously, glancing up at the king. "She believes him to be someone else, someone unthreatening."
"And she will never discover who he truly is," King Jung muttered.
The commander shifted, uncomfortable with the king's icy resolve.
"It won't be easy to apprehend him, my lord. Kim Taehyung is no ordinary man. He's a mastermind-capable of more than we can anticipate. He's already infiltrated the deepest reaches of the kingdom without a trace."
King Jung turned, his eyes flashing with calculated rage as he faced the commander.
"I am well aware of what those Daegu brothers are capable of," he said, each word dripping with disdain. "But this time... I won't make the same mistake twice."
He paused, pacing the room slowly, the weight of his steps punctuating the tension. "Kim Taehyung has used my daughter as a pawn in his twisted game to reach me. But little does he know..." King Jung's lips curled into a grim smile, his tone dark and bitter. "My daughter will be the very means by which I'll catch him."
King Jung turned sharply to face the commander. His expression was hard, unforgiving. "You know what needs to be done."
"Yes, my lord," the commander bowed deeply, backing away from the king's presence.
As the heavy doors of the chamber closed behind the commander, King Jung stood alone.
"Prince Kim Taehyung,"
he whispered, a dangerous edge to his voice.
"You've dug your own grave... and this time, there will be no escape."
Fiorella slowly entered the palace, as she moved quietly toward her chambers, her father's voice cut through the air.
"Where have you been, Princess Fiorella?"
She froze. Her father, King Jung, stood before her, his eyes piercing. "I... I was just-"
"Come to my chamber. We need to talk." The coldness in his tone left no room for protest.
