It was nearly an year ago.
Abhimanyu's grandfather, Haridev and grandmother, Vishnumathi, had called him to the temple one fine evening. He had very important meeting. But he cancelled it and went to temple, as nothing matters when it comes to his grandparents.
He spotted them amidst the group of people, who were watching a girl in her twenties, singing divinely. He went near the group and tried to call them. But they were too much involved in enjoying the song. If he called them loudly, others would have been disturbed. So, without anyother option, he stood, leaning against one of the pillars and closed his eyes, listening to the song.
Eerezhu bhuvanangal padaithavanai kaiyil
Endi sheeraatti paalootti thaalaatta nee
Enna thavam sheidanai yasodaa
engum nirai parabhrahmam
ammaavenrazhaikka
Enna thavam sheidanai...🎶Unknowingly Abhimanyu's eyes watered, as he imagined himself in the place of Lord Krishna and some unknown woman as his mother. She was lovingly cradling him just like the girl sang. He had never felt this yearning for his mother, as he had suppressed that longingness in his mind. He always took his grandparents as his parents. But the buried wish surged all of a sudden when he heard this song.
He was totally lost in her singing, as he felt that as lullaby. He didn't know when he had slid against the pillar and bent his knees upwards leaning his back against the pillar. Eventually fallen asleep. He woke up when someone shook his shoulder. He opened his eyes and saw Haridev, looking at him with smile.
Haridev: enna, kanna, nalla thoongita pola. Eppo vantha?
Abhi rubbed his face and looked around the atmosphere. Everyone had left and they were alone there.
Abhi: naan appove vanthutan, thatha. Neengalum paatiyum middle ah ukkanthutu irunthinga. Athan naan ingaye ukkanthutan. Ama paati enga?
Haridev: un paati un varungala pondati kooda pesitu iruka.
Abhi: sari okay...
He said casually but just then he realised what his grandfather said. He jerked and sat straightly.
Abhi: ippo neenga enna sonninga? Enna vilayaduringala?
Haridev: evlo naal than naangalum nee intha ponnuku okay solluva antha ponnuku okay solluvanu wait panrathu? Athan naangale ponna select pannitom. Ana un nalla neram antha ponnu unkita pesitu than entha mudivum edupanu sollita. Athan unna inga kooptom. Onnu matum nalla nyabagam vachuko, antha ponna ekkaranatha kondum hurt panniratha. Because ithana naal nee paatha class ana ponnunga illa iva. Iva oru appavi ponnu. Rompa sentimental. Athum naanga than antha ponnukita enga perana katikiriyanu ketom. Abhi sighed: yaaru ennanu theriyatha ponna kalyanam pannika naan eppadi udane sammatham sollatum? Antha ponna pathi namaku nalla theriyanumla.
He tried to reason out something to rule out the wedding topic.
Haridev: engaluku antha ponna pathi nalla theriyum. Inga than first avala paathom. Weekly weekly inga paatu paada varuva. Inga irukura ovvorutharaiyum paathu manasara siripa.
