3 days later.

My Iphone alarm filled the room, causing me to spring up from the comfort of my bed. It traumatized me every time. Playing in my dreams then making me quickly realize it was playing in real life.

5 more minutes was out of the question, I had to be disciplined and get ready for work. Apparently, one of the more luxurious houses I was selling had a few people interested, one very important man included, my boss wouldn't tell me who, claiming confidentiality.

I felt beautiful today, opting to do my makeup and wearing vintage Todd Oldham, my outfit being from his Fall 1994 collection I so happened to have lying in my closet.

The house I was selling had about 12 different rooms I had to go in and make sound as appealing as best as possible, I'd spoken to three couples already, exhausted because there were two more people to go

The house I was selling had about 12 different rooms I had to go in and make sound as appealing as best as possible, I'd spoken to three couples already, exhausted because there were two more people to go. I hoped someone would buy the house so I didn't have to keep trying to sell it.

I toured an old woman, the second to last person, clearly not interested but wanting to relive her glory days. I didn't know how this would help but I had to do my job anyway.

It was an hour before I took my lunch and I became restless, the quiet anticipation hanging in the air like a delicate veil. Time seemed to slow down in the quaint house, the sunlight dancing through the windows, casting a soft glow on the marble floors. I began to slightly fantasize about the house belonging to me.

Suddenly, footsteps echoed throughout the first floor, signaling my last client's arrival. As I descended the stairs, an undeniable energy filled the room, making me look up. My eyes met his. The steel blue ones I saw from across the bar that night.

As the woman who had become my enigma these past few days descended the stairs, the world around me ceased, leaving us in a timeless embrace of surprise and connection

As the woman who had become my enigma these past few days descended the stairs, the world around me ceased, leaving us in a timeless embrace of surprise and connection.

My eyes trailed over her beauty, soaking it in as though it was the first time. It felt like it was, you don't see beauty like this more than once in your lifetime.

"Malaya."

"Lorenzo."

Her demeanor hinted at a drop of detachment, a subtle contrast of my longing.

I gazed at her intently before her sultry voice snapped me out of my trance.

"Lorenzo, what are you doing here?" she asked, her tone a mix blend of curiosity and disbelief.

"I-I came to find you, and to buy the house," I uttered, placing emphasis on the last part so I didn't seem like a stalker. A woman had never made me stutter over my words before. Fuck. What was she doing to me?

I wish I knew what she was thinking as she gazed into my eyes, her eyebrows furrowed in an emotion I couldn't place.

"Find me?" she inquired.

"You didn't give me your number that night and I couldn't get you out of my head, I don't know what it is or what it is about you that's consuming my very being."

My words dripped with yearning, I didn't know what this feeling was or why I was even telling her this, she probably thought I was Joe Goldberg.

"Wow, um," she muttered, her lips slightly parted, my words clearly leaving her in disarray. She paused before insisting she showed me the house.

We scoped the first floor, Malaya's eyes sparkling with enthusiasm as she showcased the mansion to me, highlighting its features and potential.

My gaze was fixed on her, my attention drifting to her captivating presence. I was lost in a daydream, envisioning a life intertwined with her. Her beauty and presence overshadowed the details of the property she passionately presented.

"I'll take it," I said, making her whip her head around, her long braids swaying as she did.

"We haven't even covered half of the property," she said, a confused glint in her eye.

"You're working past your lunchtime, I'll buy the house right now and then I'd like to take you downtown for lunch," I said, hoping she wouldn't protest.

"I'll get the paperwork from upstairs," she whispered, seemingly flustered.

One step closer to taking her on a date.

She arrived in all her glory with the paperwork and I signed without reading the fine print.

"I'll get my assistant to finalize payment, by tomorrow or so I'll officially be the new owner," I beamed.

Truthfully, I didn't need another property let alone a damn mansion. I only bought it to be in her presence in case she declined the lunch offer, to not waste her time and so she could gain commission.

"12 million," I added, her eyes widening at my remark.

"But the house is just for 10 million," she replied, shock evident in her demeanor.

"Extra commission for you," I smiled, "as for lunch, I'd love if you joined me, will you?"

She stared into my eyes for a minute before nodding. I felt like sparks were flying. She accepted, a smile curled onto my lips.

"I'll text you the address," I said, "or you can follow behind my car."

"How did you get my number?" she asked, her facial features twisting in concern.

"Online. Shall we?" I said, allowing her to lead the way.

She walked in front of me, her beautiful ass swaying in the short skirt she wore. My lips caught between my teeth as I watched the beautiful specimen in front of me. Suddenly, jealousy and possession overtook me, wondering how many men saw her in this outfit and thought the same thing I did.

She made her way to her car and I closed it as she got in then made my way to my mine, her eyes widening slightly as she saw what I drove. I smirked and she rolled her pretty eyes, realizing I caught her surprise.

I messaged her the address and we made our way to our destination.

As we entered the restaurant, all eyes turned to look at us. I was proud to have someone so beautiful by my side. I hoped to one day have her by my side forever.

My hands hovered over her lower back as the waitress quickly seated us, knowing who I was.

"Here are the menus, I'll be back to take your orders, the waitress flirted, her eyes trained on me as she bit her lips.

Malaya seemed willfully oblivious, not caring the woman was clearly flirting with me. I wouldn't purposely make her jealous, but I wanted her to care.
