The smell of pancakes filled my nostrils as I slowly opened my eyes. Was I dreaming?

Only clad in my Victoria Secret thong, I held my sheet up to my body and tiptoed to the kitchen where the smell was coming from. Who the fuck was in my apartment?

Blonde hair swayed as the petite body danced in my kitchen. It was Hayley.

"Oh my fuck, you scared me," she squealed, turning around.

"I could say the same for you."

We ran into each other's arms and she wrapped her legs around me, melting in my warm embrace.

"I tried calling you, but since you generously gave me a key, I let myself in," she smiled proudly, removing the last of the pancakes from the pot.

"Sorry, I think my phone died, I was out with Lorenzo all night and I got drunk." Internally I cringed, remembering the events of the previous night.

"Did you guys fuck?" The question caught me off guard, a pause between us before we both bursted into laughter. I missed this. I missed us. I missed when we were teenagers having sleepovers talking about everything under the sun. Her standing in my kitchen caused a wave of nostalgia to wash over me.

"No the fuck we didn't Hayls, and we never will." I added emphasis on the never will and she rolled her eyes, seemingly knowing something I didn't.

I let the sheet fall, we had seen each other's boobs before, I think it was a rite of passage in close female friendships. "I'm gonna take a quick shower and we can have breakfast together, don't worry I won't let it get cold."

"Ugh you're so hot, your boobs sit so well."

I stuck my tongue out at her and hurried to the bathroom, seeing wipes with makeup on them in the bin. He wiped my makeup off for me last night? God, could this man get any sweeter? If it wasn't for him I'd probably have to be praying my skin wouldn't give me hell the next couple of days.

After taking a nice shower, I slipped on a tank top and shorts, heading to the kitchen island to have breakfast with my best friend.

"So, juicy details?" she nudged.

"Well, he brought me roses," I gestured to the vase on the table with the pleasant surprise I received, "and we went on his yacht and had dinner, it was really beautiful, the view was to die for, you would've loved it. The food and wine was amazing too, until I got drunk and made him dance with me. After that he carried me in his arms to his car then I woke up here at like 2am."

"I definitely would've loved it," Hayley smiled, "it sounds like you had an eventful night. How are you planning on going about this?" She knew me well.

"Fuck, I don't know Hayls," I sighed, pouring more syrup on my pancakes. If they weren't partially drowning in it, you could keep them.

"He seems nice so far, no red flags?"
