The wheels of the car stopped to move as the night covered the city in darkness, the rattle being the only thing that woke you up from your slumber. Your eyes fluttered open as you yawned, watching how the time on the clock turned to 6:34 p.m.

"Took you long enough", mocked the boy in the backseat.

The first sleep you had for a whole month and some days that lasted without any too severe nightmares or sleep paralysis.

And you still felt fucking tired.

You ignored him and rubbed your eyes as you had to go through the same procedure again, letting the scanner scan your ID. Only to open the car and for a small cabinet to fall out of the roof, skillfully catching it.

The metal case felt cold to the touch as your fingers caressed the smooth surface, your blood the key for it to open. You took one of the ear pieces lying there, sliding it into your ear.

Your finger pressed against it as you began to mumble, unable for Bakugo to hear.

"Nyx here. Return will approximately be tomorrow"

Not waiting a single moment more, you took it out and destroyed it like the other one.

"The hell are you destroying these for?"

"You-"

"GIVE ME A REAL ANSWER, DAMMIT. IT'S GETTING ON MY NERVES"

"Don't ask if you already know what I'm gonna say"

He didn't get to protest as you used your quirk to push him out of the backseat, making him groan as he felt the pain of his injuries, including his broken bones.

Undoing your seatbelt, you got out of the car, already pissed enough by him as you threw him on your back, closing the car doors with your foot and walking up the pathway of his home.

Taking a look at it, you thought that it looked bigger than most average homes, having huge panels of glass windows and a fence surrounding it.

It still wasn't better than Hawks' agency though, you secretly admitted.

Out of your sources, you already knew that he was rich but you have never seen a picture of his home.

That would have been too creepy.

Your index finger hovered over the button of the doorbell, making sure you got the right house before you pressed it.

The clicking of the door signalized the opening of the door, a blonde woman stepped out of the doorway.

"Got a bastard to deliver to you, madam", said you casually, pointing at the feral boy on your back who started to thrash around.

At least the normalcy had lasted for some time. The old you would have been more polite and more respectful.

"I guess the school or someone told you of the little disappearance?", asked you.

You had to blink twice as you took a closer look at the mother of the bastard. There was no doubt that they were related. Her blonde hair was as spiky as his and her crimson eyes were a perfect dublicate of her son's, her expression softer than the boy's though and she looked more female.

You knew that you didn't look very pleasant after two days in the forest, your hair knotted and your skin painted with dirt while your clothes looked like they survived hell. Not to mention the blackish thing covering your unpresentable burns and the other words on your skin.

"Yes. Thanks for bringing him home again. Please come in", said she while you started to wonder why Bakugo couldn't occasionally be like that.

But then you thought that it was impossible for you to tolerate him better, which you didn't in the slightest.
