Fucking hell. Why hadn't I heard Niko come out of his room? How'd he even move so silently. Now he was with that dickhead, Micheal. Only good thing is that Elliot can keep an eye on him for me. I decided to focus on the mission Luna had given me yesterday. Opening up my laptop I searched for the the hotel where Alix would be staying. Surprise surprise it was one of his own hotels. Lucky for me it was only 20 minutes away by bike. I grabbed my keys, and went to get my bike, as I did, Micheal walked up to me. "What the hell is your problem!?" he yelled, swinging his fist to punch me, I easily dodged him "What are you talking about?" I asked, quite sure what this was about. "Stop bothering Nikolai," Micheal said, glaring at me, "I'm not bothering him. Is it my fault that we're dorm mates? Or that he got drunk and kissed me?" I said, the colour drained from Micheal's face. "He did what?" he said shakily, "He didn't tell you?" I said smirking, "Yesterday after we got our dormkeys, Nikolai came back drunk after having gone out, he kissed me when I tried to help him get to his room," Micheal reached into his pocket, "I'd think twice before doing that," I said, he looked up at me "Stay the fuck away from Nikolai," he spat, "You know you're quite brave for coming over here Micheal. Considering you're on your last warning anything you do wrong could be your downfall. Consider yourself lucky Mika didn't kill you for attacking me." I said calmly, Micheal looked like he was going to blow a fuse, "Actually, now that I think about it, why do you care so much about my connection to Nikolai?" I asked, watching as Micheal's face went pink with blush. "Because I care about him. I don't want him getting involved in your shit," Micheal said. "Well, I'm going to say this once. Get involved between me and Niko again, I won't hesitate to kill you," I said, glaring at the black-haired man before me, "If you kill me Niko wil despise you," Micheal said smugly, "Who said that he would know who did it?" I said reaching for the pistol in my pocket. Micheal put his hands up as if he was surrending. "Fine, but if it was a choice between you and me, trust me, it won't be you," he said before leaving. I got on my bike and drove to the hotel where Alix was staying. When I got there 2 guards approached me. "State your purpose." one of them ordered, "Is this a military or something?" I asked confused by the question. "State. Your. Purpose," the guard repeated. "I'm here to see my sister," I said, Mika was supposed to be staying here during my mission. "Name" the guard said. "Mika Ashford" I responded, we didn't have to hide our last name here. The guard checked the list in his hand then allowed me inside. Mika was waiting for me in the reception area. "I'm surprised you're completing this so early," my sister said as I got within earshot. I shrugged, "Didn't have anything else to do," I told her. Mika gave me a puzzled look but let the subject drop, she lead me to her hotel room, "Alix is in the penthouse on the top floor, you'll have to find a way to sneak up there," she explained. "You got my grappling hook?" I asked as we entered her room, she passed me the gadget and lead me to the balcony where my SMG was leaning against the rail, "You're telling me no one noticed it just there?" I asked, shocked at the low quality of the security here. "Yup, now hurry up" Mika said, I holstered the SMG on my back, I got up on the rail and shot the line up to the roof, "One more thing" Mika said, "I heard how you supposedly argued with Nikolai, Elliot told me that Nikolai came to his dorm to stay over, once you're done, we're gonna talk about it," I glared at her, "Why do you care?" I said keeping my voice carefully monotone. "I know when my brother has a crush, Akuma" she answered with a smirk. I felt my face heat in absolute embarrassment, "I do not have a crush on Niko!" I whisper-shouted, "Oh, nickname basis already?" Mika teased, "I'm gonna fucking strangle you," I said angrily, "Denial is a river in Egypt, Akuma, you're gay" she said, "Now hurry up and finish your mission," she continued, pulling the trigger on my grapple hook, I shot up towards the roof, landing just as someone came out onto the pethouse balcony, it was Alix. No way it would be this easy? I put down my SMG and took a fiber wire out of my pocket. Jumping down from the roof silently, I snuck up behind Alix before wrapping my fiber wire around his neck. Alix grabbed and clawed at my arms as he choked trying to call for security, after a minute he went limp and I dropped him, I got my SMG from the roof then used the pipe to climb back down to Mika's room. Mika was sitting on her couch, playing around with a few of her gadgets, I went in and she glanced at me, "Done already?" she said in surprise, "Yeah, it was way easier than I thought it would be," I said as I sat next to her. "So, Nikolai huh?" she said smirking at me, "Shut up" I said, opening up my laptop, "You totally like him," Mika said snickering, "So, have you kissed yet? Have you done it?" Mika asked, then she burst out laughing, "Your ears are completely red" she said, "I don't know how I feel about him," I mumbled, "Whenever I'm near him, my brain just stops working, I do things I'd never do if I was in my right state of mind, but with him I'm never in my right state of mind," I said, realising as I spoke that Mika was right, I liked Nikolai, I hadn't really thought about it. Relationships were never my priority, I mostly foused on work and school. Mika smiled at me, "You're in love Akuma, accept it. The question is, does he like you back?" she said, I thought about back to yesterday evening, which weirdly enough felt like a while back, when I helped Nikolai against that pathetic excuse of a man in the alleyway, the times I'd kissed him, "I'm not sure, maybe," I said. Mika face palmed, "Boys, I swear, they're all dense" she muttered. "Lets talk about it," she said after a minute of silence. I nodded and she went to get some snacks from her fridge.
