Reyansh's POV

After dinner with Divya aunty, I headed back to my penthouse—the other one, not the one where my princess stays. As soon as I stepped inside, I turned to Carlos. "Where is he?"

"He's in the basement, boss," he replied, and without wasting a second, I headed downstairs. There he was- tied to a chair like a pathetic little gift, mouth sealed, wrists bound.

"Wake him up," I ordered, and one of my men tossed a jug of ice-cold water on his face. His scream echoed in the room, and I couldn't help but smirk.

"Ah, Mr. Thakkar! Enjoying our hospitality?" I said with a mocking smile, slowly circling him. "I trust everything's been to your liking?"

"Who... who are you?" he stammered, shivering from the cold water, his voice shaking with fear.

I leaned closer, my face just inches from his. "We will discuss my identity later. Let's first discuss your existence which may vanish within few minutes". My smile didn't falter, and I could see the terror in his eyes. It was like sweet fuel for my fury.

"W-why? What did I do?" he quivered. His fear? Oh, that was a beautiful sight for my enraged mind.

I let out a dark laugh, stepping back, shaking my head like he was the dumbest person alive. "What did you do? you dared to lay your filthy hands on munji ghull (My Flower). My voice dropped, dangerously calm as I slipped off my watch and before he could process what was happening, my fist connected with his face. The crack echoed in the basement, his head snapping sideways. I grabbed his collar, my grip tight, and threw another punch straight to those disgusting lips—the very lips that had the audacity to even think they could threaten someone so precious to me. Blood started pouring from his mouth, but it wasn't enough. Not nearly enough.

"I didn't... I didn't do anything... please... please let me go..." His voice cracked as he sobbed, blood mixing with his tears.

"Oh, no, no, no," I said with a mocking tone, crouching beside him, my eyes gleaming with fury. "You wanted to enjoy the moment, didn't you? Well, congratulations. You're getting it." I turned to Darrel. "Make sure you give him such an enjoyable moment that he never forgets. Punch him so many times on his filthy lips that even a single thought of kissing someone will never cross his mind." I said, landing another blow myself before stepping back.

My men took over, handling him with the kind of care he deserved. For the next hour, his cries filled the room but not once did I flinch. This wasn't revenge, it was justice.

When they were done, I crouched beside him, wiping my knuckles on his shirt. "Look at me," I said in a low, commanding tone. His swollen eyes barely opened, but he obeyed. "Listen carefully Thakkar, from today onwards, if I even hear you've tried to contact or come near Aathiya, I swear, you'll wish I'd killed you right here." I turned to leave, but stopped and glanced over my shoulder. "And one more thing," I said, my tone deadly calm, "if you think for even a second about telling anyone what happened here, well, let's just say the sun won't rise for you again. Not in this lifetime."

"I... I won't... please..." He spat out blood, barely able to speak.

"Throw him out," I said to Darrel. "And Carlos, get back on your post."

As I walked back up to my room, I felt nothing but satisfaction. I'm not a mafia boss. I'm not a gangster. I'm just a family man with a special team that will protect my family and turn anyone who dares to hurt them into ashes. Other than that? I'm a sweet, innocent guy...aren't I?
