The mother that went missing

Part 4

Candice had made it home just before 7 o'clock and went inside and made herself some food as she hasn't eaten all day due to wanting to find her mum, she cooked herself a grilled cheese and sat down and ate it rather fast as she was exhausted and wanted to sleep, she cleaned up her plate and decided to try ring her mums number again but still no answer. So she decided to go to bed
She got into her fluffy pajamas and grabbed her diary ready to write about today's update. she wrote:
" day 2, went and looked around town centre mum wasn't in any shops but as I was walking back I saw her down an alley way with the hooded man the guy from the pub had described. Mum was still in the clothes I had last seen her in and looked a state her hair was matted and looked like she hadn't showered, this man is as quite tall and bulky build but I didn't see his face there were smoking something out of a pipe but as soon as I called out to her he looked annoyed and grabbed her hand and run. What is the running from?" Candice finished writing and put her diary down ready to sleep and continue searching tommorow she was going to go to her mums friends house to see if her mum had spoke to her as they were pretty close.
Candice wrapped herself in her duvet cover and was drifting off when her phone started ringing. She sat up straight away hoping it was her mum calling but when she picked up the phone the name read out " Jess" its her friend Jess from school she hasn't been on her phone much since her mum left that note she's been to focused on her mum to see if anyone had messaged her. Candice picked up the phone and place to her ear to be met with the voice of Jess, " Candiceee why haven't you responded to my messages I've texted you so much I've been worried" Jess complained to Candice.
" sorry Jess I've just got a lot going on at the moment and haven't really been in my phone" Candice spoke. " it's okay girl wanna talk about it?" " no thanks but I'm trying to go sleep so I will talk to you at school" Candice replied getting sleepy.
" okay that's fine talk to you at school if you need me call me byeeee"
" bye Jess" Candice put the phone down and rolled over and started drifting off to sleep awaiting for what she finds tommorow....

Candice woke up to a nightmare it was of her finding her mum but her mum was tied to a chair and the hooded man was chasing Candice with a knife. Candice breathing heavy and trying to calm down from the dream she just had telling her self " it wasn't real" over and over again until she finally snapped back to reality. She looked at her clock and the time read 6:24am, she don't normally wake up this early unless it's for school but it's a Sunday and if she gets ready now she has all day long to find out more about her mum and hopefully find her mum today and find out who that hooded man is once and for all.

Candice went on her phone and watched some YouTube for a hour until the time read 7:25. She then slowly got up ready to start the day...
