Recap: Candice made it her mission to find her mum.....

Candice put down the letter that had been wrote by her mother and started pacing back and forth round the kitchen and then decided to call her mothers number of the landline in hope to get a answer despite what her mum had wrote on the letter. When she rang the number it had rang for a few second then went to voicemail, Candice started talking after the beep had went off. " mum why did you have to abandoned me, how could you leave your own daughter to fend for herself just to be with some random guy please call me back" Candice had said with anger in her voice but also sadness. She kept ringing until the time had read 7:31pm on the clock they had on the wall, she had been trying to ring her mum for an hour already so she decided to put her shoes on and her fluffy jacket to take a walk to a pub her mum would go to on the weekends and sometimes weekdays, her mum was friends with most the staff in there due to being a heavy drinker her mum would never allow Candice to go to that pub despite Candice being 18.

She grabbed her umbrella and started heading to the pub that was only round the block from her house, it was raining very heavy outside the sky was dark and it looked like a storm was brewing it was like the weather was matching with Candice's emotions at the moment. Candice took a left and saw the pub in the distance and started running in hope her mum was there and also because the rain got heavier outside and her shoes were starting to fill with water. " the blue lagoon" a bright sign on the top wall of the pub her mum always went into showed. Candice took one step in threw the pub door expecting a full pub with decor matching the name of the pub but instead she was met with a few old drunks sat scattered around the pub and a few prostitues sat around these men trying to get there attention, then there was the " decor" there was none at all the pub was plane and basic but the wallpaper was ripped and an old red carpet with stains all over it. Candice walked to the bar to talk to the staff in hope they have seen her mum and could tell her a bit about the man she had met, so Candice took a seat and someone came up to her and offered a drink.
" hi there pretty, what can I get cha" this quite young but scruffy bar man had said to Candice. " hello my name is Candice Cartwright, I was wondering if you have seen my mum at all today her name is Laura" Candice spoke trying to sound confident but utterly failing due to her awkwardness talking to new people. The guy looked at her and stopped and then started speaking " ah your mum ay, I haven't seen her today but she was here a couple days ago with this man they were getting it on and having a couple lagars in one of the booths" he said with a Scottish hint in his accent. " do you know what this man's name was and what he looks like by any chance?" Candice asked waiting impatiently for him to reply, " I think his name was Dazza, Dane or something like that, didn't really see his face as he always had his hood up when here never said anything to us" " sorry couldn't help ya love" he had said, Candice nodded then walked out of the pub in disappointment but she at least got a name she thought to herself as she slowly started walking back home. She was so tired from all the worrying she has done since she got back from school so she decided to go home and sleep and go searching the town centre tomorrow and ask a few people if they know her.

Candice walked in to her home and locked the doors, she was soaking from all the rain today, she went upstairs to her room got changed and opened her diary to note down the places she checked and the name of the man:

" day 1; The blue lagoon, mum was last seen there a few days ago with a man called dazza or Dane? He was wearing a hoodie so the bartender didn't see his face.

She wrote then put her diary in her bedside table drawer and layed in her bed drifting to sleep dreading for the next day to arrive....
