The screen goes black for a moment, but quickly a strange scene is shown, what appears to be an ancient open air temple, almost looking as if it was floating at a great height, several pillars can be seen, some of them having red colored crystals at the top. The sky could be seen perfectly in a beautiful orange color, and in the middle of the temple stood who appeared to be Emperor Charles zi Britannia.

"What is that place?" asked Cécile in amazement. "I've never seen such a beautiful place; it almost seems out of this world."

"It's beautiful," Tianzi adds.

"Isn't this the same place we saw when Lelouch got his Geass?" Kallen asks. "I remember we saw a bit of that place back then."

"I think so," Cornelia replies. "Though I wonder what my father is doing in such a place, let alone where the place is, so that he could visit it."

Schneizel nods at his sister's words. "I don't recall ever hearing of such a place, much less one that was close enough to Pendragon for our father to visit whenever he wished."

Zero, for his part, can't help but frown at the sight of the place, even remembering all the bad memories it makes him feel to see it again.

Nunnally frowns as well, for some reason she feels as if that place is familiar to her, but not in the same way that is experienced when any of Lelouch's memories play a part.

A strangely dressed man appears behind the Emperor, as if he had climbed several stairs to reach that place.

"Your Majesty, the body has arrived."

"What strange clothes," Villetta looks at the man's clothes in confusion. "I don't recall seeing any officers or nobles wearing anything similar."

Cornelia looks confused as well. "No kind of officer or noble ever wore such a thing, at least not in my presence."

"I was just conversing with Clovis actually," Charles says.

"I beg your pardon?" says the strangely dressed man, obviously confused.

"What?" Tamaki says confused.

Ohgi is in no better shape than his friend. "Did he just say he spoke to Prince Clovis?"

"That's impossible," Cornelia denies. "Clovis is dead, there's no way our father could talk to him."

Rakshata smokes from her pipe, though her expression is uneasy. "There may have been a way..."

"Which one?" Rivalz asked. "How could the Emperor talk to someone who was already dead? It doesn't make any sense."

"You forget the discussion we had at lunch," Lloyd replies as he understands what Rakshata meant. "We said there was a possibility that the Emperor had his own Geass."

Gino looks at the scientist with surprise. "Are you saying that the Emperor's Geass is the ability to talk to the dead?"

"I'm not sure, but so far we know that the Emperor apparently had the ability to do it, and Geass is the only possible way I can think of that being possible."

"That doesn't make sense!" Cornelia protested in annoyance. "If our father had such an ability, then why didn't he use it to find Empress Marianne's murderer? If he had asked her, he might have gotten something that would lead to the culprit!"

Cornelia's words make Nunnally turn to look at her half-sister in surprise. "Sister Cornelia..."

"Because that wasn't his Geass," Jeremiah thinks sadly, then frowns quickly. "Though perhaps he still wouldn't have done it, if that man was capable of exiling His Majesty, then I wouldn't be surprised if he did the same to Miss Marianne."
