The screen lit up and shown the next episodes.
"Lelouch, a young Britannian boy, received special powers from a mysterious girl, C.C.," C.C. narrates while scenes from previous episodes appear on the screen, "Geass. The absolute power to command anyone to obey any order. For the sake of his younger sister, Nunnally, Lelouch intends to destroy the Holy Empire of Britannia. Meanwhile, his best friend, Suzaku Kururugi, established himself as part of the Empire. By now, the fate of both of them might be irrevocably decided."
"It looks like we're back to having a narration at the beginning," Xingke says."
Tamaki shakes his head. "I forgot that this appeared at the beginning."
"Well, you can't be blamed, after all there hasn't been one for the last few chapters," Ohgi says.
"There's also a recurrence of fate in relation to Lelouch and Suzaku," Kaguya thinks about it. "I wonder if we'll see more in the future."
Tohdoh nods. "Most likely we will see more about that."
The screen goes black for a moment, but quickly displays the title of the episode: "The Black Knights".
Kallen smiles slightly. "This chapter should show when we introduce ourselves."
"It looks that way," Ohgi smiles too, but his expression quickly changes. "That means we'll also be shown what happened at Kawaguchi Lake."
Milly and Nina can't help but shudder at the memory of what had happened in that place.
A part of a ghetto is shown, several Japanese can be seen who are in terrible living conditions, many of them seem to be sick and wounded. Things suddenly start to shake because a train was passing near the place.
"It's the first time I've been away from the Tokyo settlement!" Shirley says. The camera shows her and Milly and Nina inside the train, the interior of which is quite luxurious.
"It really shows the difference in how the Britannians and Japanese lived," says Tohdoh.
Chiba frowned. "Tch, even simple students could travel so luxuriously, while we had to live in ghettos no matter what."
Milly and Nina can't help but feel a little uncomfortable, observing the difference between their lives and that of the Japanese is quite strange for them, and it makes them feel a little guilty, even though they really have no reason to feel that way.
"Not all Britannian people lived in luxury, you know," says Cornelia. "Even in the best times of Britannia, there were still many people who lived in poverty and had to work insanely hard to make a decent living."
"But they were a minority, most Britannian were middle class or higher, while almost all of us Japanese had to live in ghettos," Ohgi protested,
Cornelia sighs. "I'll admit that's true, but there's no reason to make young people who lived luxurious lives feel bad about themselves, there's nothing wrong with making the most of what you have."
"You wish Lelouch had come with us, don't you?" Milly asks mischievously. Milly's words make Shirley blush, but the blonde keeps teasing her, "Don't be shy, let's spend the whole night talking, we can tell each other which boys at school we like!"
Shirley looks at Milly suspiciously. "Then you have a lot to talk about, don't you, Ms. President?"
"Who can tell?"
"You," Anya says with her usual frankness. "So, do you have it? "
Milly smiles mischievously, though a small blush can be seen on her cheeks. "Who knows, I might say it someday."
