The Eastern Sea stretched out before the ninja, a vast expanse of gray-blue water that seemed to ripple with a quiet menace. Above, dark clouds swirled, gathering at the horizon and hinting at the storm that lay ahead. The island fortress Ronin had mentioned was somewhere out there, hidden within the chaos. The air felt heavy, charged with tension, and even the usual sounds of Ninjago—the bustling streets and chattering crowds—seemed distant and muted.

The team stood on the docks, preparing for their journey. Nya was focused, already summoning water from the sea to form a sleek, swift-moving vessel beneath their feet. She shaped it with her powers, the craft taking on the form of a streamlined boat, ready to cut through the waves.

"This place gives me the creeps already," Kai muttered, glancing at the swirling clouds overhead. "The wind's been acting weird ever since we got near the coast."

Morro stood a few feet away, his eyes closed as he listened to the wind, feeling its shifting currents. He had felt it, too—the storm wasn't natural. Nadakhan's influence was already at work, twisting the elements, making the air feel... wrong.

"It's him," Morro said, opening his eyes and turning toward the others. "The wind isn't just acting up on its own. Nadakhan's been stirring it. He's using his power to control the sea and the sky."

Lloyd stepped forward, his expression serious as he studied the storm ahead. "Then we don't have time to waste. If Nadakhan's trying to gain more power, we need to stop him before he can make his wishes permanent."

The mention of permanent wishes made everyone tense. They had faced dangerous enemies before, but the idea of Nadakhan reshaping reality to suit his twisted desires—that was a whole new level of threat.

"We'll get to him," Nya said confidently, her hands glowing as she guided the watercraft closer to the dock. "But we need to be smart. If he's waiting for us, this could be a trap."

Kai grinned, despite the tension. "When isn't it a trap?"

With everyone aboard, the watercraft skimmed smoothly out onto the open sea, cutting through the waves with ease. The team stood on the deck, ready for whatever lay ahead, though the air was heavy with unspoken fears. Nadakhan was no ordinary enemy, and the closer they got to his lair, the more apparent it became that they were walking into something far bigger than any of them had expected.

As they sailed toward the storm, the air grew colder, and the sky darkened with unnatural speed. The once-calm waters now churned angrily beneath them, and even Nya, with her command over water, seemed strained as she kept the vessel steady.

"This is worse than I thought," Nya muttered, her brow furrowed with concentration as she directed the boat through the increasingly turbulent waves. "The sea's fighting me."

Morro, standing at the bow, was doing the same with the wind, using his powers to calm the violent gusts. But it was a losing battle. The closer they got to the island, the stronger Nadakhan's hold over the elements became. The wind wasn't just chaotic—it was hostile.

"There!" Zane called out, pointing toward the horizon. Through the storm clouds and crashing waves, a dark shape began to emerge. The island fortress. It rose from the sea like a jagged mountain, its towering stone walls covered in moss and vines, with sharp cliffs jutting out into the raging ocean. The fortress was ancient, and it seemed to radiate an eerie energy, as if the island itself were alive with malevolent power.

"That's it," Lloyd said, his voice barely audible over the wind. "That's where Nadakhan's hiding."

As they approached the island, it became clear that this wasn't going to be a simple infiltration. The fortress was surrounded by jagged rocks and swirling whirlpools, making it nearly impossible to get close without being smashed against the cliffs. The storm above rumbled with thunder, and bolts of lightning cracked across the sky, illuminating the dark waters below.

"There's no way we can land directly," Nya said, struggling to keep the boat steady against the waves. "We'll have to get as close as we can, then climb the cliffs."

Morro stepped forward, his eyes scanning the island. "I can help with that. The wind's still under his control, but if I can create an updraft, we might be able to glide over the worst of it."

Lloyd nodded. "It's worth a shot. Everyone ready?"

Kai ignited his hands, the fire from his powers barely holding against the wet, salty air. "As ready as I'll ever be."

With a deep breath, Morro concentrated, raising his hands and calling upon the wind. The gusts were strong and wild, but he wrestled them into submission, creating a powerful updraft that surged toward the cliffs. The boat lurched forward, lifted by the wind and propelled toward the island with surprising speed.

"Hang on!" Nya shouted, her powers amplifying the effect as the water beneath them surged in tandem with the wind.

The boat sailed over the jagged rocks, skimming just above the crashing waves as the wind carried them higher and higher toward the fortress. But as they neared the island, the storm intensified, as if sensing their approach.

Suddenly, a massive bolt of lightning shot down from the clouds, striking the water just ahead of them and sending a wave of energy rippling through the sea. The force of the blast knocked them off course, the boat spinning wildly out of control.

"We're losing control!" Cole shouted, grabbing onto the side of the boat as it began to tilt dangerously toward the rocks below.

"I've got it!" Morro yelled, pushing his powers to their limit as he fought to keep the wind stable. But the storm was too strong, and even with his control over the wind, they were no match for Nadakhan's magic.

Before they could regain control, the boat smashed into one of the jagged cliffs, shattering on impact and throwing the ninja into the air. They tumbled through the storm, caught in the swirling winds as they struggled to stay together.

Lloyd was the first to recover, flipping in midair and using his elemental energy to stabilize himself. "Everyone, grab onto something!"

One by one, the ninja managed to right themselves, using their powers to cushion their fall as they landed on the narrow, rocky ledges that lined the cliffs. The storm still raged around them, but at least they were on solid ground—barely.

Morro landed heavily on a ledge just below Lloyd, his breath coming in ragged gasps. The wind was relentless, pulling at him from every direction, but he dug his fingers into the rocks, refusing to let it sweep him away.

"You okay?" Lloyd called down to him, steadying himself against the cliffside.

"I'm fine," Morro grunted, pulling himself up to the next ledge. "But we need to move. Nadakhan's not going to give us another chance."

The others were scattered across the cliffs, slowly climbing their way toward the fortress. The jagged rocks and swirling storm made every step dangerous, but they pushed on, determined to reach the top.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, they reached the base of the fortress. The walls were tall and foreboding, covered in vines and moss, with narrow windows that peered out into the stormy sea.

"This is it," Kai said, glancing up at the towering stone walls. "Now we just have to find a way in."

"We'll need to be careful," Zane added, his sensors scanning the area. "Nadakhan's magic is strong here. I'm detecting fluctuations in the energy around the fortress—he may have set traps."

Lloyd took a deep breath, looking at the entrance to the fortress. "We'll deal with whatever he throws at us. But we're not letting him get away this time."

Morro glanced at the storm overhead, feeling the weight of the wind pressing down on him. Nadakhan was close. They were finally at his doorstep, but the real fight was only beginning.

As they moved toward the entrance, the wind seemed to whisper in Morro's ear, carrying with it a single, ominous thought:

Nadakhan is waiting.
