GROWING UP WITH my father being apart of the mafia, it was never unusual for him to have enemies. I've always heard of the Bennett family, and how they ruled the south side of Chicago. But I was way too young and too much of a girly girl to really understand the rivalry between the Bennett's and the Carters.
My father worked closely with Dayvon's father, Walter. The two men did a good job with running their own streets of Chicago. My father had many of his own businesses in the city, and so did Walter. However, that didn't mean there wasn't any rivalry between the two.
