Chapter 9: Brighter Times

3rd person pov:

Once back at home. The hounds nap at the foot of izuku's bed to keep him company. His once bright green eyes, now a dull greenish gray. As he tries to lay down to sleep. His mind wonders with memories of those deaths that have haunted him.

^parents killing their own kids.
Men raping women and children to death. Executions of the innocent. Prisoners of war being tortured and others for medical research. Horrible work accidents.^

The list goes on until izuku has had enough. So he rises from bed and looks outside. Then he looks back at the hounds.

Izu:^At least they have each other.^

Izuku then thinks back to the first death to break his heart. Face no longer visible and voice vanished from memory. Only a smile left to recall.

As izuku opens the door to leave. The creeking sound wakes up future. As it sits up to look. It's eyes glow yellow.

Future sees izuku vanish while crying. So it lays down and whimpers.

Fut:"Fairwell izuku."

It says softly before nuzzling closer to the others.

Izuku sets out on the river. Once at the portal. He sets a ring in the boat and takes a deep breath. Then plumits into the water below. Once down the waterfall.  The portal flashes a blinding white.

When izuku opens his eyes. He's greeted with a light above him. He then looks around and notices that he's in a hospital and there's a blonde male resting his head on izuku's bed.

Izu:"Where am i?"

His voice is weak and gasped from a dry throat.

When the blode lifts his head. Izuku's eyes widen. As he knows that face from his past.

Izu:"Your majesty?"

The man puts a hand on izuku's head.

Baku:"Still running a fever. Rest babe. You need to recover your strangth."

Izu:"What happened?"

Izuku then sees all of the memories of this body. Which until now didn't have a soul.

Izu:^Wait. This hasn't happened before.^

As izuku tries to put the pieces together. He suddenly falls back asleep. When he wakes Once more. Bakugou isn't there.

As he sits up. His body feels heavier. That's when a nurse comes in with food.

Mina:"We'll good morning sleeping beauty. Here's your breakfast."

Izuku smiles and bows to her. As he eats. Izuku thinks about everything he knows.

Izu:"The year is 2023. I'm in Osaka Japan and am dating katsuki bakugou. Damn, even the same name as my old king. We started dating about a year ago and-^

Izuku hears a small bell ring. Then a thread appears before him. As he touches it. He sees a nearby death. A child that was just born. Only to take one breath in the world.

Izuku looks down with gloom. Tears have been dry for centuries. So with a calming breath. Izuku ignores it like the death was nothing and continues to eat.

After eating, he lays down again and sleeps. His dream is of a warm hand pressed against his cheek. So izuku nuzzles it and smiles at how comforting it is. Only to open his eyes and see that it was Bakugou's hand.

Baku:"Sorry I'm late. The manager had me busy again. So how do you feel?"

Izuku notices that he's sore. So he smiles.

Izu:"A lot better than before."^Appearently I'm in the hospital because of a accident at my college. Bullies cornered me on the roof of the main building and the safety fence broke. It started because news got out that I'm dating a pop idol.^

As izuku reaches for Bakugou's hand. Suddenly he sees something in those red eyes. It was only for a moment but he saw something that made him uneasy. Then another bell rings. So izuku turns away from bakugou and mutters.

Izu:"I hate hospitals."

Baku:"Doctor says you can come home tomorrow."

Bakugou goes to rub izuku. Only to stop when he sees izuku turn away from him.

Baku:"Hey deku?"

Izuku doesn't turn around. So Bakugou stays quiet.

Baku:"Nevermind."

Soon bakugou stands up to leave. That's when he sees izuku staring blankly ahead.

Baku:"See you tomorrow."

After leaving. Bakugou punches the wall and makes a call.

Baku:"Hey it's me. Listen. I need a press conference ASAP. I won't tolerate this anymore. Pause the tour. There's something else that needs to be done first."

After bakugou hangs up. He smirks.

Baku:"Time to clean house. "

That night bakugou stays up making phone calls and sending out letters. While also doing background checks on fanclub members. With the help of a few friends that is. As a red head, two blondes, and black hair males come to his place to help.

Baku:"Thanks for coming. Time to get started. Kirishima, find out where all of the clubs are. Monoma, do background checks on clubs and members. Sero, you help him. Denki, you're with me. We'll be writing personal letters to culprits. Since you're one of my lawyers."

All:"Right!"

After only a few minutes of searching. Monoma giggles like a villian.

Mono:"Already got a few, and this story is juicy. "

As monoma hands bakugou the paper. His eyes widen with rage. So he passes it to drnki.

Baku:"Handle it."

Denki:"way ahead of you. "

By morning. The news breaks.

Anchor:"Our top story this morning.  After an accident involving pop idol kacchan's boyfriend. The star has done an investigation into his fan base an uncovered multiple attacks in his name. This is his tweet on pitcher."

<I will mot tolerate violence. If you are a true fan. You would never want harm to come to others. So as a result of my investigation. Many of you will be getting served by your local police office to stand trial as terrorists. You will also receive restraining orders and bans from any concert venues. For those that hurt my man. The next day bakugou is too tired to pick izuku up. So he calls his manager.

Baku:"Can you pick deku up for me today? I was up all night......... thanks."

Bakugou falls on his bed and within moments passes out.

Baku:"This should help..... keep other......saf-"

Later at the hospital. Izuku is dressed and ready to go. That's when he hears a deep voice call out to him in the lobby."

"Izuku midoriya?"

Izu:"Yes? Huh-!"

He looks up to see red and white hair, one gray and blue eye, a burn over his left eye.

Sho:"Bakugou asked me to take you home."

Izuku is stunned. Not knowing what to say or do. As he remembers in that moment about shoto todoroki. The one he loved in the past.
