evangeline bluebell  🫐

~ backstory

she was an angel. bluebell came from a beautiful paradise on a distant planet, a heaven for the pure and innocent.  there was no god in her home, as it was believed each human was as powerful and worthy as the next. they would sleep entangled in vines and flowers from the nature around them and would drink from the river of fauna each day. the animals there were respected and cared for, being allowed to share all that humans had. the sun was always shining and darkness was unknown, an attempt to save the people from the evil of the planets surrounding them.

the warmth of the sun would glow upon evangeline each day as she would sleep and dance; her skin absorbing the light and powering her heart. rays of sunlight flew through her body and eventually began to pour out. her eyes shone brighter then ever before and her hands could release the solar energy whenever she liked.

she also became one with the nature. the animals and the plants. evangeline began to talk with the animals every day and protect them from predators or help them to drink from the river. the plants sunk into her skin as she slept and she became in control of them. she was able to control and communicate with mother nature from inside of her body.

the family of angels who lived in this garden of purity admired young evangeline for her powers. they began to respect her highly and treated her better than anyone before, which when in a land of equality and love was frowned upon by the majority.

eventually, by an angel she could not remember or recognise, she was banished from the land and sent towards the earth. a scary place for the innocent humans living in the clouds. as she begged for him to understand and realise things will only become more corrupted without her, he felt increasingly intimidated and demanded her to leave the only place she had ever known.

her body flew beneath the clouds as she allowed her wings to escape and protect her from the harsh air. she cried pearlescent tears as she plummeted down towards the green grass below. the sunlight inside her escaped and released a blinding white glow behind her as her body began to shine as well.

she became a shooting star.

her body crashed into the ground and her wings retreated into her back as she blew her white hair off her pale, freckled face. she lay in the land beneath her and closed her eyes, hoping she was safe and welcome in this planet of destruction.

evangeline told herself she was lucky to be found by nick fury. he took her to a safe place and fed her with delicious food she had never tried. he made her laugh. he trusted her to be alone with her thoughts each day.

but something inside her mind told her she couldn't trust a man like him. he was nothing like the men at her planet. he was aggressive and promoted murder and assassination. even though she liked him, evangeline could never believe what he told her.

fury began to train her. from the age of five, she became S.H.E.I.L.D's deadliest asset. she did not agree with anything she did and was highly resistant, but would remind herself of what nick fury had done for her and realised what she owed him.

so she had killed more people than she could count before her sixth birthday.

she was always alone, in a " safe house " as they called it. of course she would feel lonely but evangeline never complained. she had no reason to. she was happy.

nobody knew about her, except clint barton. he was tasked with protecting her when fury wasn't around.

they formed a strong bond and it was the first time evangeline felt as though she could trust someone on earth. she adored and admired him.

she never spoke of her past, only her future. she would say " the past is dark now the sun has turned away from it ", so clint began reminding her of it after gruesome missions when she felt guilty about murdering the enemies.

eventually she was 12 and still happy, but evangeline longed for something more. she hadn't found her purpose on earth doing the missions, even though she began to enjoy them. she wanted to be apart of something larger and more purposeful then herself.
