Leah, the bold and determined princess of Sylvanar, has always known her duty: protect her kingdom at any cost. When her father arranges her marriage to the dreaded King Ignatius of Juvelia, the fire king feared by all, Leah accepts her fate, believing the union will secure an alliance to safeguard Sylvanar from growing threats.

But on the way to her unwanted future, a violent storm drives their ship off course and into the clutches of vengeful sirens. Blamed for the destruction of their sacred reef, Leah's father is killed, and she is taken prisoner beneath the sea. Trapped in the underwater realm of the merpeople, Leah is thrust into a new nightmare-Prince Thalios, an enigmatic ruler of the deep who, demands more than just her freedom-he demands her heart.

The newly crowned sea king forces her into a marriage she cannot escape, and the division between the merpeople and humans has never been higher. With alliances crumbling, Leah must navigate the dangerous politics of a kingdom that despises humans.

Her family's future-and the fragile peace between land and sea-hangs in the balance. With her life no longer hers, Leah finds herself trapped between her loyalty to the world above and her new husband.
