Evette is past the war, and is living her life as the Goddess of Justice, Revenge, and Fury. She's living her life as The Sister - as one of the Seven as secretly as she could. With her kingdom recovering from the betrayals of their former Black Queen, and their people, Aerlo had called in his side of the deal, which was fair.
Evette thought that navigating being Queen while also being a new mother would be the limit to what she had to deal with - the universe would surely give her a break, right? However, the universe seemed to have other plans and kept handing her curveball after curveball. So, in addition to being Queen and a new mother, she had to take never heard of situations and new betrayals onto her plate as well.
There is only so much a woman can take before she breaks and loses it.
