"Lyric baby what's wrong"Alex whined as she was knocking on the bathroom door where lyric was hiding in.
The muffled thug of the clubs music barely reached the bathroom,but the bass still vibrated through the walls.
"Come on girl let me in" Alex pleaded her hand resting on the door, "u don't have to go through this alone".
After a few seconds of silence, Lyric finally unlocked the stall, Alex slipped in and immediately knelt down beside her ignoring the tight space.
Alex reached out and wrapped her arms around Lyric pulling her into a tight hug "What happen" she whispered rubbing her back.
"I saw him Alex" Lyric sobbed burying her face with her hands. I thought I was over him , "I "thought I could handle it but"... "seeing him here tonight it just- it hurt so much" Lyric whined.
Alex sighed, her expression softening "I'm so sorry lyric, I know u didn't expect to run into him like this"
"It's hard it always hard when feelings get dragged out of nowhere" Lyric shook her head, trying to wipe away the endless tears.
"I feel so stupid why am I crying over him and he's moved on and I'm....I'm a mess" lyric expressed. "hey stop that"Alex said firmly grabbing her shoulders and forcing her to look up.
"Your not stupid your feelings are real and it's ok but that doesn't mean you're weak you're just..... human and its ok to let it out"
Lyric sniffled, her chest still tight but Alex's words settled her like a warm blanket. "I just feel like I'll never get past it"
"You will" Alex said brushing a tear from lyrics cheek. "look I know it doesn't feel like it right now, but u will And until you do I got you we will get through this together alright"?
Lyric nodded weakly, leaning into her friend's embrace. The music outside seemed so far away now, a distant echo of a world she wasn't ready to face. But in Alex's arms she didn't feel alone.
Lyric was still inlove with Trevon, she thought she was over him after what happen that night, but when she seen him it was like all the time came so fast to her.
