Sunlight streamed through the blinds casting a soft glow across the room Trevon stirred first, blinking his eyes open slowly it took him a second to remember where he was but then he felt the weight of lyric still resting against him her head nested against his chest her breath slow and even.

He smiled his arm still wrapped around her feeling the steady rise and fall of her breathing for a moment he just stayed like that, content to let the morning linger not wanting to disturb the peace of the moment.

Lyric stirred a little, her eyelashes fluttering as she slowly woke up she blinked a few times then realized where she was and who she was with her eyes met his and for a second she was little surprised but then her expressions soften into a sleepy smile.

"Morning'' she murmured her voice hushed and warm.

"Morning" Trevon replied his voice low and soft

She shifted slightly but didn't move away from him still resting against his chest "Did I fall asleep on you" she asked her tone apologetic but playful.

Trevon chuckled, "yeah you knocked out pretty quick"

Lyric blushed a little but she couldn't help laughing ,"Sorry guess I was more tried than I thought"

"It's all good", Trevon said his fingers lightly brushing her arm "I didn't mind"

They lay there for a few more minutes neither of them rushing to get up or break the quiet it felt like the world outside didn't exist for a little while longer and they could just be here together without thinking about anything else.

Finally, Lyric stretch pulling away slightly but still staying close "I'm glad u stayed" she said softly her eyes meeting his.

"Me too", Trevon replied his voice just as gentle "it was ... nice"

Lyric smiled, a quiet understanding passing between them they didn't need to say much more everything they felt was in the warmth of their shared silence.

2 hours later

Trevon stood by the couch pulling his hoodie over his head and grabbing his phone off the table.

The morning had passed by quickly and now it was time for him to head out Lyric followed him to the door.

Her arms crossed loosely as she leaned against the wall watching him "You really gotta go"? she asked her have tone half teasing but with a hint of disappointment.

"Yeah gotta handle some business real quick" he said slipping his phone in his pocket, he moved to the door his hand on the knob but hesitated for a moment looking back at her.

"But.... I was thinking" Lyric raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued "Thinkin about what"

Trevon stepped closer his voice lowering just a bit his usual confidence showing through "Why don't you let me take you out later?, You know somethin light grab a bite catch some air we ain't gotta make it deep, just chill" .

Lyric tried to keep her face neutral but she couldn't hide the smile creeping up "Oh, now u wanna take me out".

He chuckled , shaking his head "Girl stop playing you know u miss ridin with me, I'm tryna treat you right, show u good what's up u free later"?
