Miku woke up as usual, the loud sound of the alarm blaring in her ears.

"Ugh, SHUT THE FUCK UP!" she shouted. Turning the alarm off.

"Thank goodness I'll never have to hear that stupid alarm ever again," she thought.

Suddenly Miku heard footsteps from outside the door; it was Luka; she had heard Miku shouting, and it worried her. Luka opened the door.

"Is everything ok?" Luka asked, worried.

"Uh-uh yeah. Sorry, the alarm just startled me, that's all." Miku said lying to Luka and did a bad job doing so as her body language gave it away, and so did the stutter.

"Hmmm, ok then." Luka knew she was lying but didn't want to make Miku mad, so she kept silent.

Miku had not been acting like her usual self recently; she would get extremely mad easily and had started to distance herself from everyone and everything. Luka would sometimes hear her crying at night but didn't ever say or do anything as she was afraid Miku would lash out like she had begun to do, and Luka knew exactly why. Two weeks ago, Rin had passed away in a car accident when a drunk driver ran straight into her car, killing both. Miku had asked Rin to make a quick trip to the store for snacks while she was staying over. Causing Miku to believe it was her fault. Rin had been Miku's best friend for almost her whole life, and now she was gone. The happy, upbeat, energetic Miku she knew was no more.

"Are you sure you're up to performing today? Youve been acting strange lately, and I'm worried." Luka said that even though Luka was just Miku's caretaker, she cared about her, as if she were the daughter she never had.

"O-oh yeah, I'm excited. I can't wait for it." She hadn't performed since Rin had died and frankly didn't want to. However, she figured she would give her fans one last show.

"Ok then... well, I'll get your clothes for you then." Luka said, then walked out of the room for a moment.

Miku sighed. "Welp, today is the day; today is the day I die. I don't think I can live another day; I just can't." Miku thought to herself. The thought of her going through with her plan made her think about why she wanted to die, Rin, the loss of her friend. Miku's eyes began to well up with tears.

"Im sorry, Rin. Im sorry, please forgive me when I get there." She thought to herself, and tears began to run down her face. "Im sorry."

Miku heard Luka approaching her room; she quickly wiped away her tears and quickly got up.

"Heres your clo-," Luka said, her scentence was cut off by Miku grabbing the clothes from her.

"Thanks." Miku said, quickly shutting the door.

Miku changed out of her night clothes and walked to her bathroom to do her makeup. After finishing, she stopped moving completely and stared at herself. The girl she saw in the mirror was now a completely different person. Looking into the mirror, seeing the reflection of her wearing her uniform in her makeup with her hair in their twin tails reminded her of the old her. The old times, the happier times.

"Who am I?" Miku said to her reflection. But no response.

Miku snapped out of her trance and walked out of the bathroom and into the kitchen. Miku made her way to the counter and reached into her cabinet, pulling out her medication. The container read:

"Oxycodone, 10 mg. taken by oral, only one."

She stared at the container.

"Cmon, just do it." She thought to herself. She wanted to stuff all the pills in the container down her throat, but she didn't. She heard a small voice in her head—the voice of Rin.
