it's now April. I've been sitting alone for 1 official month.
the schools dance "The Social" is today and i have absolutely no reason to go but I'm getting dressed right now.
the theme is Red Carpet and I'm wearing this long burgundy red dress i got from a thrift store.
i walk into the commons building where the dance is being held in the gym.
i see the group and i immediately turn away.
i go sit down on a chair in a corner. the vice principal is blasting white girl music over the speakers and everyone is dancing, and smiling, and having fun.
but here i am, all alone, nothing to do.
i should've never come.
but then somebody taps on my shoulder.
it's Eloise.
"what" i say.
"uh we've all been talking, and we decided you can be back in the friend group." she says.
now way.
i haven't failed yet.
or maybe i already did and they're giving me a second chance.
"oh...ok, thanks" i say.
and that was it.
I'm back in the group.
