Random Hailstorm and Pyrite Ideas 1

So, after reading a good dose of Hailstorm and Pyrite Ideas I just decided to make an idea dump for our enchanted boi.

Frigid mask Hailstorm:

So the entire idea for this Hailstorm is that he starts to disassociate the name Hailstorm with himself having an identity crisis not on weather he is Hailstorm or Pyrite. But, because both Pyrite and Hailstorm have become a mask to him. Leaving him to wonder on what his true self is. Hence "Frigid mask" because Hailstorm is also a mask.

 Basically, after returning to the Icewing kingdom and settles down to the same uncaring aristocratic competition that he left. However, Hailstorm is in his recovery phase from being Pyrite for two years. During the recovery phase Hailstorm is trying to remove all artifacts of being Pyrite. Examples of minor artifacts would be: He would some times fiddle with his claws, feel cold, mentally refer to scarlet as "queen Scarlet" with similar passion as Pyrite, think he has fire, feel momentarraly inconfident and ect. There are also Major artifacts such as: desiring skywing things and activites (such as socializing), look at himself in the mirror as if it was some one else, and being unresponsive to the name "Hailstorm" . 

Overtime a lot of the artifacts were removed and quite quickly only taking a few months of self-rehab at most. Except for the last 3, those 3 artifacts, unlike the rest, fed into a long suppressed identity issue Hailstorm never knew he had. 

Skywing culture was much, much more expressive to the point where even the cursed Pyrite who was naturally inconfident and inept could feel as if she belonged and relax compared to the constant tension of maintaining status in the aristocracy. 

When they called the name Pyrite it was with passion and care(if it wasn't them ofc) and she too reflected the same if not more back. When they called Hailstorm it was formal and cold all the while he passively  denounced the 'abnormal' care of his brother. 

Finally, when he looks into the mirror all he sees is a statue the result of having to maintain a façade since he was born. 

While before, he saw the order of the icewing kingdom as something he had to be apart of and the disregard and draining of his emotions and self he simply brushed off as necessary and normal. Now, he has tasted what it's like to be the opposite of what he was and to expect the opposite of what he was.

But, to Hailstorm that other life was not his it was Pyrite's but, at the same time being Hailstorm is a draining hollowing task that also, didn't feel like him. Just like Pyrite, he realized Hailstorm became a mask to cover his true self while still not knowing who he is. 

He longs for one day to cast off the mask of Hailstorm and find out and be who he is. Too bad opportunities are still sparse in the icewing kingdom and he is scared to leave.

Yea... this Hailstorm follows alot of those existential crisis tropes(?) where a character believes he has basically lost their own identity to express.
