Author's Note!!

Hi!

I never thought I'd be writing a little "author's note" chapter but here I am. I just wanted to thank you guys for all the love you've expressed for my book. "Short story" is more like it but let's not get into the semantics.

I know it may not seem like a lot to some of you but this silly little book has, as of right now, 126K views, 2,8K votes, 1K comments, and is #10 in the "best friends to lovers" tag! That's insane to me! Especially considering the fact I never thought anyone would even read it, let alone enjoy it. So thank you<3

Now, I also want to apologize. I think you may know what for already. I wrote this book when I was 14 so... it's obviously not some of my best writing. I won't lie. I kind of hate this book now. I won't get into that, though, because there's no use in tearing down something that is just a stepping stone in my writing journey and I doubt you guys would want to hear about it anyway.

BUT!! I am so incredibly sorry for some of the cringy ass shit I wrote (prime example: "I'm the Queen of England!" Very, very sorry about that one). But you guys sat through it anyway and I was pleasantly surprised to see people commenting about how much they loved the book.

Which brings me to my next point: thank you so much for all your comments! I do try my best to read through them and even respond when I can, but regardless, I really enjoy seeing your thoughts and opinions on the story, as well as just silly comments that made me laugh, or even serious comments that made me want to give you guys hugs! I feel like I built a tiny little community (maybe that's a bit dramatic of me, I don't know) and I love seeing how you interacted with each other in the comments as well.

In case you're wondering, I don't know if I'm going to write any more books. I really would like to, but I'm in my last year of high school now and stress is currently my predominant aesthetic :D Also, I'm quite good at coming up with the beginnings of stories but not so much at developing my ideas into fully-blown books (which is why this book is only a short story).

Maybe I will start writing again, redeem myself to you as a writer. Because, again, this book... isn't very flattering of my "talent," in my opinion. But I can't make any promises.

I feel like I'm rambling and I'm not even sure if any of this is going to make sense or connect properly seeing as my ADHD makes me sound like a drunkard whenever I try to explain something but hopefully, some of this is coherent.

Lastly! I'm a little embarrassed to write this but I'm going to anyhow because this is my author's note and I can write whatever I want!

I started a TikTok account. Crazy, I know. The point I'm trying to make is, if any of you are interested, my user is @shiftingforharrysdad. My content, or the content I want to make, is Marauders era stuff, anything Harry Potter-related, and more, but mostly a lot of shifting content (as you can tell from my user). Anyway, feel free to check me out. Or not, that's totally fine, too!

I don't give a rat's ass about followers or how many views or likes I get. I just want to share my interests with others who share them so we can all geek out together :D But that's basically the entire concept of the internet anyway and you guys obviously know how to use it since you all read my book!
