CHAY
Chay could see the shift of emotions in Kim's eyes. Was it confusion? Questioning? Relief? Realization? Chay doesn't know. He was confused too. Why is everything so the same? Why does he feel the same with Porchay? At first, he tried not to mind it, but as days and nights passed after meeting Kim. He started to notice the similarity of his dreams to his life happenings.
First, the way they first met. Porchay said that he would be the one to approach Kimhan when they see each other in their next life. Chay did, he came to Kim first. He approached him the way Kimhan approached Porchay in his dreams. The way they spent that night together. The way that morning they parted. The way he kissed Kim's cheeks. The way Kim jumped off the balcony just like Kimhan did in his dreams. It was all the same.
Then, there was their first date. The beautiful scenery they watched together; a sunset by the lake just under a huge willow tree. That's when Porchay and Kimhan saw each other again. The way they enjoyed each other's presence that day. Nothing had changed.
There goes their second date. Chay swears to every god that he felt the same way Porchay did when the Ghost started running. The happiness. The freedom. The feeling of Kim's warmth near him. Damn it. Even the horse and motorcycle have the same name. Coincidence? Chay doesn't think so. The outdoor cinema that Chay enjoyed so much just like Porchay enjoyed the theater as he claimed it to be in his journal entry, the feeling was the same. Everything. Every single thing is the same.
And here they were by the cliff, watching the sunrise. Just like Porchay and Kimhan always do before they go apart. It was as beautiful as ever. Here, with Kim beside him, Chay was pretty sure they were both confused about what was happening. Same name. Same face. Same memories. Same feelings.
Kimhan. Kim. Kimhan. Kim. Is that why he was comfortable around him? Is that why he felt an instant connection with him the moment they met? Is that why he longs for him so much? Is it because he is Kimhan that Porchay loves the most his whole life? Does that mean he really was Porchay from the past?
Realization slowly hits him. Tears start to fill his eyes, the warm liquid glistening against the sun. "I found you," Chay whispered. "Kimhan, my love..." The name perfectly rolled in his tongue like he meant to say it multiple times. The endearment fluttered in his heart. A comforting warm feeling spread across his chest as he whispered those words.
Kim had this weird expression on his face that Chay couldn't read, yet eventually, a hearty laugh came from his lips. "Yes... Yes... I knew it!" he said. With a huge smile, Kim closed their distance and their lips met in a sweet kiss. Chay was quite surprised by it, but eventually melted to the kiss. Kim's lips were extremely familiar to him which completely concludes his thoughts. He is Porchay and Kim is Kimhan from their past life. The warmth. The softness. The sweetness. The feeling of kissing him. It was all familiar to him. When they separated, there were tears in Kim's eyes. "You found me... You did find me, sweetheart," he mumbled, kissing Chay's lips in between his words.
Chay was so happy. Hearing the endearment again made him so giddy. He could feel his heart beating hard and fast on his chest as if it were about to explode. What he was feeling towards Kim wasn't just a simple crush or infatuation. He loves Kim. He loved Kim even before he was born. He loves Kim from the past. And he loves Kim even now. It was an odd feeling to have an instant connection with someone you just met, but Chay has an answer to it all. Kim was truly his soulmate and the universe made them meet again. "I promised I would and I did," he replied.
