Chapter 3

Y/N was back in the hotel within the Dreamscape. He was mulling over all that just happened. It was all so much at once that he didn't even know where to begin. First, there was Firefly's 'death' after that Memory Zone Meme attacked her. Of course, he knew she was still alive once he saw her inside of her SAM armor. However, he didn't fully grasp what the point of her faking her death is just yet. Then, there was Robin. She also appeared to be dead, most likely from the same monster he saw before judging by the gash across her body. If that was the case, he assumed Robin still had to be alive somewhere. If Firefly didn't get killed, then the same must be true for Robin since their 'deaths' were so similar.

'Great, just what I needed... Trying to solve supposed deaths and uncovering even more mysteries about some monster roaming around. Then, there's the whole thing about Acheron, whatever is going on there...' Y/N takes in a deep breath, before letting out a heavy sigh. 'I'm not even getting paid for this either. I want a drink after this is over. Hopefully I don't deal with trouble like this again once I leave Penacony.'

If only he knew what would happen after the matter is settled. Elio never told him about that for a reason.

"That was quite a big sigh. What's the matter?" An angelic voice calls out, belonging to none other than Black Swan.

Y/N faces the memokeeper now that she made her grand appearance. "A whole bunch of problems I really don't want to be involved in, but I've gotten roped into somehow." He shakes his head and puts those thoughts aside. "Anyways, care to explain more to me now? What's the deal with Acheron that you wanted to tell me about?" He asks.

"Hold on a moment, follow me somewhere else. There's a room not far from here where we can talk privately." Black Swan informed. She motioned for him to follow behind her and led him down a hallway to an open room where no one else was around.

"Now we can talk without any worries. Back to Acheron, I'm sure you can tell that woman is quite something. I'm not just talking about her strength. She claims to be a galaxy ranger, but is that true? If what I believe is correct, she stole the invitation given to the Annihilation Gang and came here to Penacony. The whole galaxy ranger persona is all fake." She was always curious about Acheron ever since she saw her. There was just no way that someone like her was supposed to be invited through normal means.

Y/N pondered on the points that Black Swan made. He knew Acheron was definitely hiding something. "I see... It would be weird for someone like her to be invited here. I've never heard her name before this and I don't think any galaxy ranger would know her either." He thought back to all his times with Acheron here so far. She didn't give off the impression of being a threat. "Still, with all this in mind, I don't think she's an enemy. She's here for her own goals, whatever that may be. She doesn't want to cause unnecessary harm to others. I consider her to be an ally."

"I wouldn't have to agree with that notion for now. I don't believe she will be getting in our way. I just wanted to bring this up as a precaution." Black Swan looks over her tarot cards, then flipped one over to create a portal to the Golden Hour. "The Astral Express crew are present here to discuss matters. Acheron will be there, too, most likely hiding. Go ahead and join if you're curious. As for me, I have some more business here. I will be with you later."

Y/N didn't see any downsides to joining in on the conversation. It would be a good way to come up with some sort of plan. "Guess I have nothing better to do anyways. I'll see you around later. Just text me if you need anything." He went closer to the portal, but stopped close by. "Oh, do I not get a goodbye kiss on the cheek this time? You didn't have a problem with it before when you sent me here. Have I offended the great Black Swan?" He laughs jokingly.

"Ah, is that what you're waiting for? I didn't think someone would be so eager for that. Here I thought you didn't like it." Black Swan teased. She took a step forward and leans in to give him another kiss, this time on the side of his neck. "There, you've got your prize. Run along now before you miss your chance to join the discussion." She softly pushed him through the portal.
