Bente Dos: The Husband

"Mr. Ferguson, I am looking forward to work with you." wika ni Eirlys saka nakipagkamay rito.

"It's my pleasure, good thing your Dad mentioned you a lot of times that's why I recognized you immediately. You know I've been the supplier of your Dad's chain of hospitals and I must say he's the best man. He never fails to amaze me."

Ngumiti siya saka tumango rito. They were playing golf earlier. Good thing she knew how to play, at least the owner of Fergus, one of the leading manufacturer of medical devices and equipments of the country was impressed by her performance.

She played golf before when she was in US during her medical training and she admits she learned a lot of skills in playing.

Tinanggap nito ang renewal of contract dahil ito lang ang nangungunang nagbibigay sa kanila ng quality medical devices and  equipments. It wasn't hard for her but she learned a lot of things since she entered the world of business.

"That's because he knew you bring the best of the devices we needed. We're grateful for this opportunity."

Tumawa ito. "Maliit na bagay. Tell him to visit me when he's okay. It's been a long time since we last played golf."

"It will reach to him.".

She was about to bid goodbye when Mr. Ferguson's attention diverted to the entrance of the restaurant inside the clubhouse.

"Mr. Grasso!" bati nito saka siya napalingon. It was indeed Storm alone. Nakipagkamay ito sa  matanda saka tumingin sa kanya.

Umiwas siya ng tingin rito saka umayos ng upo. "It's nice to see you again." nakangiting bati ni Storm sa kausap saka tumabi ng upo kay Eirlys na dumidistansya naman sa kanya.

Hinawakan nito ang kamay niya na nasa ilalim ng mesa. Tumingin siya rito nang may pagbabanta pero hindi man lang ito natinag.

Natatawang tumingin si Mr. Ferguson sa dalawa saka umiling.

"We just had a little fight at home!" saad ni Storm saka siya pinandilatan niya ito at pilit tinatanggal ang kamay na hawak-hawak nito.

Natawa ang matanda sa tinuran ni Storm. "I didn't expect you both know each other."

"She's my wife." diretsong sagot ni Storm saka tumingin si Eirlys sa kanya.

"Ex-wife!" pagtatama nito.

"We will not disturb you anymore Chairman, see you around." sambit ni Storm saka siya hinatak palabas sa restaurant.

Hindi na siya nakapagpaalam ng maayos dahil hila-hila na siya nito. Pilit naman niyang tinatanggal ang kamay niya na hawak nito.

Tiningnan niya ang locker room kung wala bang ibang tao roon. Nang walang makitang tao ay hinila siya nito papasok.

"Ano ba!" inis na wika niya saka iwinaksi ang kamay nito.

Isinandal siya nito sa steel locker cab, pilit niya itong tinutulak palayo but he was just too strong for her.

"I didn't have the chance to praise you wearing like this before."

"And so?"

Tumawa ito saka tumingin sa mga mata niya pababa sa mga labi niya.

"It looks good on you!" mahinang wika nito saka lumapit pa sa kanya. Pilit naman niyang iniiwas ang muka rito.

He leaned closer and closer to her until she can feel his ragged breathing in her face. Nakangiti naman ito habang tumititig sa mga mata niya.

She started to feel suffocated and if he keeps on leaning closer to her, her heart might get out of her chest.
