It was past midnight, and Yanqing was laying on his bed. On his right, Yunli was hugging him tightly, with Yanqing's arm around her body. They were both embracing each other after a night of... very intense stuff. They also had a blanket over their bodies to keep them warm. Yanqing was staring up at the ceiling, and there was clearly still some things in his mind, while Yunli had her eyes closed, but still wasn't asleep.

"...Can't sleep?" Yunli asked while still having her eyes closed.

"...No."

Yunli looked up towards Yanqing while still hugging his body.

"Still thinking about what we did?" Yunli said, smirking.

Yanqing couldn't do anything but start blushing.

"N-No, not really..."

Yunli sighed, and placed her head back on Yanqing's chest.

"...Is it about my marriage?"

Yanqing was silent, but that was all Yunli needed.

"You know, now that we've... done it, I can't be wedded to anyone else now."

Yanqing nodded.

"That's true, but..."
"What if this still didn't change anything?"
"Let's say the IPC guys rejected you... and the initial plan they had with the Zhuming commenced."
"Then we would've solved nothing at all, and in contrast made it worse."

Yunli got up from her original position and pulled herself closer to Yanqing's face, and was supporting the upper half of her body with an elbow while still laying down. She was looking downwards towards Yanqing's face, who was still laying on the bed. She stared directly into Yanqing's eyes.

"Hey! I didn't come here just to make myself 'impure' just so that I won't get married to some random scumbag!"

Yunli had a few seconds of silence, and had a slight blush before she continued.

"I... I wanted this with you, you know..."

Yanqing blushed as well as he heard that, and looked away in embarrassment.

"I... I didn't mean it like that..."

Yanqing looked back at Yunli.

" ...I wanted this for us too."

Yunli had some glimmer in her eyes, and blushed while still looking at Yanqing.

"R...Really?"

Yanqing went back to staring at the ceiling.

"For all my life, I've fought many enemies and... I've defeated all of them with ease."
"Even the more formidable ones, they always get defeated in the end."

Yanqing turned back to face Yunli.

"But you... each time I spar with you, it always felt like we were on even grounds."
"It was almost as if... we were growing strong. Together."
"And I don't know when, or why..."
"I started to miss our sparring sessions."
"And the past two months without you... I guess that was the breaking point for me."

Yunli was stunlocked, but let out a chuckle afterwards before Yanqing continued.

"And when I heard that we can't keep sparring together anymore, I realized that..."
"I want you by my side. More than anything."

Yunli let out a smile as she sighed, and grabbed her palm and placed it on Yanqing's cheek.

"I was wondering when you'd realize."

Yanqing chuckled.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Yunli went for a kiss on Yanqing's lips before she went close to Yanqing's ear.

"...That you couldn't live without me."

Yunli went back to initial position, where she hugged Yanqing's body with her head on his chest.

Yanqing couldn't help but let out a grin himself.

After a few moments of silence, Yanqing spoke up again.

"Tomorrow morning, we'll request a meeting with the generals, and see what our options are."

Yunli who had already closed her eyes, opened them again but wasn't looking directly at Yanqing.

"...And if they refuse to help?"

"Then... we'll wage war on the IPC. We don't need the Luofu or the Zhuming on our backs, we can take them all ourselves."

"...We'll definitely lose, though."

"Hmmm... if not, we could always just... elope."

Yunli giggled.

"That doesn't sound like something you'd do at all."

Yanqing giggled along.

"Yeah... it really doesn't."
