"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE BARRACKS ARE ON FIRE?!"

"I-It is as I said my king! The arms locker was set ablaze!! We don't know how!"

"WELL WHY ARE YOU TELLING ME AND NOT PUTTING IT OUT?! GO!!"

The prune but bulky old man crashed onto his throne in annoyance, his face deeply pressed to his hand as he sighed.

"I already know the direct cause, don't I...?"

"Ease yourself, father. You know better than to let assumptions speak for you when you're mad." A young man with blood red armor stood with a smile next to the king, an axe with a staff as tall as him stuck to ground next to him.

"No other forces of the underworld would dream of ever attacking us, any saboteur would be easily sniffed out...Those two good for nothing pups are getting too predictable."

"Be as it may, they're still around aren't the? Despite what you believe of them, they're guardship of the city walls is serving well, no?"

"That's because those monsters are a bigger threat to the village than anyone else!!"

"Excuse my rudeness father but scream any louder and mother will find you another region to stay in for a era."

The man grumbled in his chair pondering for a moment before he stood up and clapped his hands once with a small puff of fire escaping them.

A handful of guards emerge from the ground up in the same red flames as they begin following the King who stepped down his throne.

"Speaking of her, I'll go find her and discuss the collaboration proposal from the Death's Council." He addresses it to the young warrior. "Keep an eye on things."

"Never a dull moment with the reapers, hm?" He laughed but nodded at the King's order.

But once he and his guards left the room, the warrior flung his axe and made it disappear before walking off the side of the throne. He quietly hasted over to the curtained walls behind the podiumed throne.

He swiped the curtain and looked down with a tired smile. There, a small hole in the wall had a pair of blue and pink eyes blinking from the darkness.

"Did the maids seal up the tunnel in the kitchen?" He asked softly.

Two puff balls jumped out of the hole and latch onto the man, crawling up his body and hanging onto him by neck and shoulder.

"You try talking to papa too much, Bau bro!"

"He has to keep his big talk at max, Moko! You know how stubborn he is!"

"Ok, easy on the wares you two." The tall man laughed and held them up by his hands. "But honestly, there's only so many shenanigans I can save you from. You know father's patience isn't as eternal as our lives."

He walked out of the room with the two girls proudly using him as a ride. Their tails wagging over his shoulders like they were his cape.

"Well why have pyromancers train in a place that can be set on fire easily?! They promised they'd train us and then ran away when we made progress!" The blue one punched the man's head but he could barely feel her hits.

"Careful with your thinking, there might just be a day you take up the throne."

The warrior swiftly turned a corner when servants came walking down the halls. He vaulted and jumped out of a stone framed window and clawed his way up the walls of the fortress, up until he sat near a flag post. Both girls were unbothered and somewhat even excited like riding a rollercoaster.
