Now that Alice was living in her world at half.
Half wonderland , half Anglia .
She was wondering...how could her friends go so bad? White Rabbit , Hatter ...the rest....Red Queen....all...dead .
Only Cheshire .
Alice was talking whit Cheshire ...how did things go down hill....expecialy whit her ex best friend...Hatter .

Cheshire ; You know...Alice ...Hatter wasn't always like this....

Alice raised an eyebrow.

Alice :"You know..... I figured that.

She had a frown on her face. She had no idea how things had gone wrong either. But, it was better not to question it. It was a lost cause now. There was no going back. But that still didn't change her curiosity.*

Alice :"But......What happened?"

Cheshire ; long story ...to start short.... he was not always mad....or like this....this was only the self distruction he had inflicted on himself...

Alice sighed. Though, her look was more of sympathy than pity. He had done it to himself, for whatever reason. That was all she needed to know.

Alice: "That's a horrible way to go."

She said simply. She had seen a lot in the last seven years, she had seen people who were crazy and insane. But nothing like that. Hatter was a completely new case for her.

Alice: "Why?"

Cheshire paused for a few seconds, his smile widening faintly as he did. He looked at her through half-closed yellow, almost illuminating eyes;

Cheshire; grief...

Alice's expression was still stoic. But it looked softer now in contrast. She had guessed that there was some reason. But grief? Hatter seemed like the type who never let negative emotions get to him. Perhaps, she had been wrong.

Alice: Grief?

Cheshire: "Grief...guilt...self-hatred...self-pity..."
Cheshire listed those things with a hint of irritation in his voice; the tip of his skinny tail twitching as he spoke. Those were all horrible emotions.

Alice: I see..."

She had to process it for a bit. All that grief and hatred, leading to him being like that, it was an awful thought.

Alice: "Why didn't he get help?"

Cheshire paused for a beat; his smile becoming bitter as a cold shadow flickered through his yellow, glowing eyes. The tip of his tail twitched again.

Cheshire; "Help? Alice...he wouldn't go and look for help. You know Hatter better than anyone...he's stubborn as a mule."

Alice laughed. Cheshire was right. Hatter was incredibly stubborn. He was the type who never sought help from others. Or ever showed any weakness. He refused to.

*Alice: " That I do know..."

She said dryly. She could hardly picture Hatter admitting he needed help, let alone going to get some.

Cheshire; "And...he tried to fight the madness. He tried to keep a hold on himself." Cheshire continued; a bitter, almost mocking hint in his voice as his tail lashed as his side.

Cheshire; "He tried...he really did, but you can't fight madness, Alice. Eventually, it starts eating away at your mind, until...you're nothing but a shell of yourself." He added, his tone becoming dark and solemn. Alice felt a pang in her chest. Hatter had tried so hard, only to eventually lose his mind. It was such a terrible end to such a promising person. His life had all been for nothing. It was a shame.*
