Simon's pov

The army sucks am I right, but it won't anymore after the mission in Vietnam. I was told I could go home I was surprised at first I mean I could go home I don't have any family to go too but there is thus onw girl I have missed these last five years away from her has been  Excruciating on me and I know it's worse on her but I get to go home to my best friend and my crush " aey ghost what ya thinking about" soup asked me as I looked at him " nothing just me going home" I replied as I sat back and siped my beer that I had my code name was ghost that's what I go by always have always will I'm bigger then the men here but I also way hotter yeah I knkw I like to boost my ego "Oh I bet ya got a girl back home don't cha" he said as he swang an around  my shoulder the rest of the unit laughed and I sighed and pushed him off of me " and what if I do?" I asked "Oh big boy git him self a lady haha way to go mate, " sope said, and I rolled my eyes "say dose she know what you look like under that mask" He asked, and I nodded "Oh so she knows, but we don't. Why don't you show us ghosts as a going home present?"Show my face," I said "yeah" he said as he looked at me. "Negative," I replied, "Why you ugly?" He asked as the unit laughed again "quite the opposite" I replied and he stopped laughing "alright fine well I would like to meet this little lady one day" soup always tried to get with girls so I was not vary happy with this worded I juts gave him a death stare he just shrugged and went to his bed bunk  and started to drink more I sighed and thought about Ashley I think k about her almost everyday I make sure I eat well enough too so I don't make her mad when I come back to see her I also can't wait for her cookies they really are the best I lated down on my bed and fell asleep as tomorrow I will be going home.

I arrived at the airport and waved goodbye to my 'friends' as I aborted the plan. Now I have two hours till I see Ashley

Ashley's pov

My alarm went off, and I got ready for work. I have a half day today, so I got up fast and got ready is been five years since I last seen Simon and due to hus rank in the military it was dangerous for me to contact him.

I arrived at work and was greeted by my coworkers. "Hey Ashley, how are you?" This one guy I work with asked me like always, he likes me but I don't like him I already like someone but he won't get that through his mind I rolled my eyes and walked passed him he looked passed but I didn't care as I went to check on the cat that I did surgery on the other day he was  Healing well so it was time fir him to go home I made the phone call to his owner ti let her knkw that the cat could go home and for the rest of the say I was working g on paper work.

The door of the clinic opens the little bell rang
And a voice spoke to the frount desk lady "hello I was wondering if Ashley was working today," the person asked, "Oh yes let me go get her sir" the lady said as she ran to come get me from my little work area "Ashley someone is here to see you" she said "tell them I'm busy unless it's an emergency" I said not bothered with this person "Oh but I think you will like this" she said and I looked at her and sighed and git uo to go to the front as I turn the corner I vary familiar face appears and I froze for a good minute trying ti make sure my eyes where not playing tricks on me "hey there Ash long time no see" the familiar face said to me I didn't say anything but ran to him and hugged him tightly he picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist "you big Dummy why did t you tell me you where coming home" I asked as i cried In his neck and he chuckles "I'm sorry but a promise is a promise" he said and I hit his chest to calm myself down after a few minutes he puts me down and I was able rk get a good look at him he changed a lot he was bigger taller more buff and God dåmn he was fine I blushed as I stared at him he chuckles and ruffles my hair "what time you get off?" He asked I look at the time and see it's noon "nkw actually" I said he smiled and nodded "good let's go get food" he asked and I nodded and got my stuff and said my good buys to my coworkers and went with my friend to eat lunch.
