I had set my alarm to get up early. I turned it off and immediately got out of bed with great enthusiasm. I ran to the bathroom and started to fill the tub. I lit a scented candle and played one of my favorite songs of the moment -quinne - touch tank-, humming merrily to myself the whole time. I put on my favorite face mask, which brightened it flawlessly, and soaked in the warm water. I relaxed back and started thinking about what was the most appropriate thing to wear today. It had to be something special, but without being too over the top. I sighed loudly because I felt like I wouldn't be able to pick an outfit that easily.

I hovered in front of my closet for a while, pulling out and trying on different clothes. I looked in the mirror and couldn't find anything suitable at all. I sighed and sat on the floor as if I had given up. At that moment, there was a knock on my door. Who was it? "Come in!" I said loudly, not moving from my place. I heard the door open slowly. "Sophia! Did a bomb drop here?" came my sister's familiar voice. She laughed and came closer to me, sitting down on the floor to be next to me. "I have no idea what to wear!" I bawled like a baby. She laughed even louder. "I can't believe it! Who are you and what did you do to my sister!" she laughed again and shook me gently, holding my shoulders. That made me laugh a little too. "Well, I'm your savior today, then." she said, pointing to the bedroom. There was a white robe of some sort placed on top of the bed. I immediately ran over and saw that it was a long and stylish white dress. "I've been wanting to give it to you for so long, but I kept forgetting.". I hurriedly put it on and looked in the mirror. It was fabulous - I was straight in love. I ran to my sister and hugged her tightly. "Thank you so much. You're my savior." She smiled and raised an eyebrow questioningly after we separated from the hug. "Is there something I need to know? Like, since when do you worry about what to wear to a sports competition?" I laughed casually. "Of course not. Nonsense. That's just how I felt about it today."

Her expression told me that apparently my words weren't very convincing, but I'm still grateful that she decided not to question further

Her expression told me that apparently my words weren't very convincing, but I'm still grateful that she decided not to question further. She was right about one thing though - what was happening to me? I have never been in such an emotional state just because I have nothing to wear. I was never one of those girls. Something was definitely going on, but I didn't understand what. Other than that - getting up early and tweeting sweet songs in the bathroom? Enough bullshit, that was definitely not me.

A little while later I went down to brunch with my family. Everyone was already seated and as I approached the table, my father looked at me and quite firmly exclaimed loudly "Bellissima! You're amazing, Sophia!" They all turned to look at me, and it was evident on their faces that they were very pleasantly surprised by my appearance. My brother Franco even whistled and it made me laugh and my mother lightly slapped his palm. Yes, she was very particular about order and discipline. I sat down and ordered a coffee and a grapefruit juice. "Honey, you look really good. You obviously got pretty excited about the race today." my mom said. I rolled my eyes and blurted out casually "Is the race today? I'd forgotten." At this point my sister gave me a strange look that said "There's something you're not telling me." I tried to avoid her gaze and sipped my coffee. "Daddy, I'd like to go to the track by myself." I told him. He smiled smugly. "So you liked the car?" I nodded and smiled. At this point my brother Manuel frowned and said "I want a Ferrari too!" We all laughed in unison. "Honey, you need to get your license first, but you were too busy with the girls last summer." my mom told him and we all started laughing again. Yeah, that's right. Manuel was a big romantic and was constantly finding a new girl to claim he was in love with. Strange why, but in the end he was always left heartbroken.
