I walked closer to the window and gazed out, watching as some students frolicked with their friends, their carefree laughter and playful shouts filling the air.

They were completely oblivious to my presence. I couldn't help but feel a pang of nostalgia, longing to revert to the carefree Alicia who was once everyone's darling.

"This is the last day I'll muster a smile," I whispered to myself, "the last day I'll attend school, the last day I'll trust a stranger, and the last day I'll visit a guy alone." Tears streamed down my face, mirroring the anguish that gripped my heart.

Just then, a voice interrupted my reverie. "Alicia!" someone called from behind.

I hastily wiped away my tears and turned to face the person who had spoken. It was Erica.

"What brings you here?" I asked, surprise etched on my face.

"Is everything alright? You look distressed," Erica inquired, her gaze searching mine.

"I've taken my medication," I replied, attempting to downplay my emotions.

Erica's expression remained concerned. "What's troubling you, then?" she pressed.

I suggested we sit first, and we made our way to a nearby bench.

"Erica, I have something to tell you," I began, my voice trembling.

"I'm pregnant," I revealed, the words tumbling out like a confession.

Erica's eyes widened in shock. "What? How did this happen? Who's responsible?" she asked, her voice laced with alarm.

"It's Nicholas," I admitted, avoiding eye contact.

"What do you mean Nicholas did this to you? How could you let him?" Erica asked, wearing a puzzled expression.

"I didn't let him. He drugged me," I replied.

"How dare he! Next time I see him, I'll kick his ass!" Erica exclaimed, her face twisted in anger.

"I'll make him pay for what he did to you."

"Thanks, Erica, but you don't have to do this," I said.

"It's all my fault," I added.

"It's not your fault, Alicia. Please don't say that again; it makes me angrier," Erica said.

"Because of him, you're not coming to school anymore, just because of that asshole."

"It's okay, everything will be alright," I said, forcing a smile.

"You gotta go now," I added.

"Okay, take care of yourself, Alicia. Take care of yourself," Erica said as she stood up to leave.

"Erica, promise me you won't tell anyone about this, not even our classmates," I said.

"I won't, I promise," she replied.

"Bye, Alicia," she said, then walked out the door.

Shortly later, Miss Agatha came in.

"I met Erica on my way here. Does she know you're pregnant?" Miss Agatha asked, scanning me.

"Yeah," I replied, collecting the sandwich from her.
