...staring at the stars, which seemed to twinkle with a melancholy glow. My mind wandered back to the past, reliving the memories of my dad's departure. I never thought that day would be our last goodbye.
Tears streamed down my face as I thought about how his dreams of providing for us had turned to dust. The plane crash had taken him away, leaving us with nothing but shattered hopes.
My gaze drifted to the present, and I couldn't help but feel a deep regret. Nicholas's betrayal had reopened old wounds, reminding me of my dad's absence.

"Bye, Dad," Alicia said, watching as her father left. She never knew it would be the last time she'd see him.

Flash forward to the present.
"That's how he left us," her mom said, tears streaming down her face. "He never came home again. He died in a plane crash on his way there. Now, see what you've done, Alicia."
Alicia couldn't bear to see her mom weeping like that. She stood up from the couch and walked over to her.
"Mama, stop crying. It's all my fault," Alicia said, tears welling up in her own eyes. "I shouldn't have trusted him. I shouldn't have visited him alone. I didn't know his intentions."
Her mom's sobs intensified.
"I'm not worthy about being called your daughter. I've disappointed you and Dad in his grave."
Her mom's expression softened.
"It's okay, sweetheart. Get up."
Miss Agatha interrupted, "I think I should go back to school now."
"Thank you, ma," Alicia said.
"You're welcome," Miss Agatha replied.

Later, Alicia's mom saw Miss Agatha off.
That night, Alicia opened her bedroom window and gazed at the stars.
"Hello, little one," she whispered, touching her belly. "I promise you won't have a life of regret. I'll give you the love you deserve, even as a single mother. You'll be great, my child."
Just then, her mom called from the dining room.
"Alicia, why?"
"Yes, Mom?" Alicia replied.
"Come downstairs for dinner."
"Okay, I'm coming."
Alicia slipped on her pink flip-flop slippers and headed downstairs, ready to face whatever the future held.
THE END.
