THE now four friends had decided to hang out after school at Lianes house.

"Hey, liane?" Gwen stands near the house phone. "Can I use your phone and call my mom? Tell her im hanging over,"

"Of course Gwen! Go right ahead."

Gwen punched in her mothers house phone— as she works the night shift, she was probably just now waking up— and picked up the phone, pressing it to her ear.

"Hello?" She heard her mother say. "Hey mom, its Gwen, I'm hanging over at my friends house, what time do you want me home?"

"Are you gonna eat dinner there?" Her mother asks. "Uhhm," Gwen sputters, turning to Liane. "Am i eating dinner here?"

"Yeah sure you can!" Liane smiles, lifting herself up from the couch. "Yeah I am,"

"Okay then, be home by around seven."

"Alright, love you bye." Gwen smiles and hangs up the phone. She walks over toward the living room and sits near the group. Mae was on the floor, leaning against the couch while the other two were on the couch. Gwen sits next to Mae and crosses her legs.

"Gwen where are you from?" Myles asks, cracking open a can of coke. "I'm from Georgia," she replies. "Do you like new york?" Mae asks as Myles hands the others cans of soda.

"Err, Its different.." She shrugs, opening her can and taking a swig.

"Yeah, I bet." Liane says, picking up the television remote and flicking it to some cartoon channel. "Ohhh Powerpuff girls is on!!"

A few hours later, the teens were at the dinner table of the Johnsons house. Lianes mother glanced up to Gwen. "Gwen, where did you move here from?"

"I moved here from Georgia, ma'am." She smiles innocently. She had to answer this question multiple times today. "Does your family live here?" Her father asked.

"Yeah, they do. My aunt lives next to me, actually."

"Do you live in this neighborhood?" He asked.

"Yeah,I live at the very end. The beige-ish house next to the green one."

The two parents hum in reply. "How are you liking Green Port so far?"

"Its alright, my first day went well. Youre very good at cooking, Mrs Johnson." She replies, bringing her spoon up to her mouth.
