A Panicked Friend

You shoot up in bed as you open your eyes, finding yourself back in your room. You grab Lilly as you roll out of bed. You head over to your desk, pick up your fountain pen, open your diary, and begin writing.

Dear Lilly,

Our dream last night was quite fun. Do you think I actually helped Alex? I hope I did do something, it seemed so real but then again it's just a dream. Anyway, I should probably go get some breakfast, I'll write more later. Goodbye for now!

Putting down your pen, you get up and head to your closet picking out a dark blue dress and black stockings. For Lilly, you pick out a maroon dress with black stockings. After the two of you are dressed you head over to your vanity brushing your hair and putting in a bow to match your dress, doing the same to Lilly. When you look into the mirror you smile, wait what?!?

"Why do I feel happy?" You question, as you immediately go deadpan again.

When you look back into the mirror you see Eli, she looks at you with wide eyes and a grin.

"So that bunny wasn't lying." She says.

"How are you here? I thought it was just a dream,"

"Not one bit Ali! We're all very much real." She responds.

"But-"

You don't have time to ask any more questions before Asher rushes into the room.

"Alice, Alex is here. He wants to talk to you." He says, he looks worried.

"I'll be down in a second, I just need to finish getting ready." You respond, placing a hand on his head, and ruffling his hair.

"Okay!" He chirps as his face lightens up again.

Asher leaves your room closing the door behind him, you head back to your vanity and look into the mirror but Eli is nowhere to be seen. You powder your nose and make sure your hair is perfect. Once you're finished you grab your bag and Lilly then you head downstairs and into the front hall. You find your mother and Alex talking at the front door.

"Alice, come with me!" Alex says as soon as you are beside your mother.

You have no time to ask questions before he grabs your arm and drags you out of the house and down the front walkway. When you reach the front gate Alex stops and looks at you.

"What happened last night?!" He questions, his voice full of concern .

"You know the dream I had the night before?" You ask.

"Yes, what does this have to do with this?"

"I helped you!" You chirp with a genuine smile.

Alex looks at you in shock as his jaw hits the floor.

"YOU SMILED?!"

You shh him and you smile again as you nod, Alex shakes his head in disbelief.

"You need to tell me everything right now." He says as he places both his hands on your shoulders.

"I'll explain everything, but we need to get the others." You respond.

Alex nods and then the two of you split off, you run towards Annalise and Mason's home and he runs towards Lulu and Lucas's house. When you reach the door you are out of breath. You knock on the door and one of the maids lets you in. When you get in you see Anna and Mason talking.

"Alice, what's wrong?" Anna asks as soon as you get in the door.

"I need you both to come with me. Right now." You gasp, trying to catch your breath.
