It was a cold morning in Stars Hollow. Davina Danes was currently walking into school, but as she was about to walk inside, someone grabbed her hand and pulled her over to a small corner near the bushes.
"Hey!" Davina went to argue, but was cut off as a hand was placed over her mouth.
"Shh! Relax." The voice of Paris Geller was heard. Paris was one of Davina's closest friends in Chilton. "It's just us."
Davina pushed Paris' hand off her, looking around to see her other friends Madeline and Louise. "What the hell are you guys doing here? Actually, no, better question, why are we crouching down behind the bushes?" Davina asked, looking at her friends as if they were insane. They were currently leaning against a bricked wall, above it was a window which lead to the administration office.
Before anyone could answer Davina, the window behind them opened and some other student handed a file to Paris.
"What the hell is going on?" Davina whispered, demanding answers.
"There's a new girl here and we're getting all the information on her." Louise explained to her friend.
Davina sighed, knowing full well that the new girl they were talking about was Rory.
Paris opened the file, looking through it.
"Well?" Louise raised her eyebrows in question.
"Shut up." Paris shushed the blonde-haired girl.
"Hurry please. Spiders." Madeline complained, having a major fear of spiders.
"Lorelai Gilmore." Paris read out the name.
Louise chuckled softly in amusement. "Nice stripper name."
Davina nudged Louise. "Shut up."
"Formerly of Stars Hollow high-school." Paris read out more information.
"Where's that?" Louise tilted her head, furrowing her eyebrows.
"Are you stupid? Stars Hollow is where I live." Davina reminded Louise, flicking her playfully on her forehead.
"It is?" Louise furrowed her eyebrows.
"You've been over to my house countless of times. All three of you have! You guys have eaten in my dad's diner." Davina rolled her eyes.
"Oh yeah!" Madeline gasped in realisation. "Your dad makes the best burgers."
"Okay, be quiet!" Paris scolded her friends. "We're here to find out details on the new girl, not to discuss Davina's father's diner." Paris then looked back down at the file and continued reading. "Perfect attendance. 4.0 grade point average."
"Bugs. Dirt. Twigs." Madeline went back to complaining about hiding behind bushes.
"She's a journalism major." Paris carried on reading.
"That means she's gonna go out for the school paper." Louise assumed.
"Not necessarily." Paris frowned, feeling slightly irritated and as if she had some sort of competition. "She's got like a thousand recommendations here."
Louise hummed. "Popular with the adults and going out for the school paper."
Paris glared at Louise in utter annoyance. "Will you stop? You don't know that she's going out for the paper."
Madeline jumped slightly. "Something's biting me!"
Davina, who also hated spiders, cringed. "Ew! I swear, if it's a spider--"
"Quite down!" Paris shushed Madeline and Davina.
"I hate nature." Madeline pouts.
"Me too." Davina nods in agreement.
