Jack went home, and started to think of how he was going to convince Clary and Tanner before he meets Bruce. However, before he came up with a plan, he received a call from James;

"Yo, Jack! How's it going bro?"

"James, hey, I'm great. So, any news?"

"Yeah, I got the stuff"

Of course Mister Brian had won the bet, and was promised his money as soon as possible, James also learned the formula and made the amount Jack needed.

"Wow, you're fast" Jack said in a surprised voice.

"Of course I'm, we're talking about a hundred bucks here man!" James said excitedly

"Okay okay, I'll meet as soon as I can"

"As soon as you can? No way man, I'm not keeping this stuff at my house, it's illegal and I don't plan on going to jail"

Jack sighs and says "Fine fine. I'll meet you in a couple of hours"

Jack wasn't the type of person who saved money, and he knew it, so in order to make sure he didn't go completely broke at any point. He kept a sum of money hidden for the moment he needed it, he kept two hundred bucks. Jack hated that his life savings were going out for some sleeping gas, but he knew if it worked, he'd get ten times that amount for pocket money. He sighed and took the money and went to meet James, he got his stuff and gave him the money. He went back home and hid the cans, and immediately went to bed, it was tiring for jack to go out everyday like that, not to mention the fact that he couldn't sleep. In fact, that was the first time in the last three days that he got some shuteye. After a good rest Jack suddenly woke up the following day at four in the afternoon. He checked his clock and upon seeing it he exclaimed;

"God damn it!"

He knew that he only had a few hours to convince Clary and Tanner, or else all would be gone.

"What am I supposed to do now?"

He didn't have time to think of a plan, so he just decided to act on instinct, he got dressed and immediately went towards Clary's house, when he got there, he stood in front of it and called her.

"Come on, come on, pick up" Jack said anxiously.

"Hello?"

"Clary! Hey. Ummm, are you home?"

The question felt a bit strange;

"Umm, yeah?"

Jack sighed in relief

"Good good, and are you free?"

"I don't think so; I might be going out later with my mom"

"No no, I'm talking about now, like at this moment"

"Umm, yeah I guess?"

Of all the times Jack sounded strange, this was the strangest.

"Good, cause I'm in front of your house"

"What?" Clary said as she went to her window and saw Jack standing in the middle of the street, he looked at her and smiled and waved.

"Can you come down? I need to talk to you. And don't bring Tanner''

"Umm, okay"

Clary was worried; a thousand thoughts circled her mind "Did he just completely lose his mind? Or was he just in the area and decided to pass by? Yeah, it's probably that" Clary thought to herself. She went out and greeted Jack.

"So, what is it do you wanna talk about?"

Jack looked around, he was obviously nervous, he saw a bench on the sidewalk and told Clary they should sit down first, and so they did. He took a deep breath and started to explain.

"Remember how you always used to tell us that you wanted to live a life of adventure?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you still want that?"

Clary smiled "Of course I do!"

Jack sighed and said "Well what if I told you that me, Bruce and Kyle are going on a great adventure, one that's unlike anything before"

Clary laughed slightly and said "Well, I'd tell you I'm coming with you"

"Well, Clary, we are"

Clary, still smiling asks "Haha what?"

"Remember that plan we came up with in the café?"

Suddenly the smile turned into a serious face "Yeah?"

"We're going to do it, and we want you and Tanner with us!"

Clary was shocked; she couldn't believe what she had just heard

"Jack, please tell me you're kidding"

"I'm not, we already started preparing"

"No, no" Clary said as she shook her head.

"Didn't you say that if we ever pulled it off you'd be with us?"

"Jack, I was joking! I never thought you'd take it seriously!"

"Well why not then?!"

"You can't do that! You can't just simply do something like that!"

"But it's the life of adventure, the one you always wanted!"

"The life I want is outside of jail, Jack"

"But we won't go to jail! Trust me"

"Jack you don't know that, you don't know if we could pull something like that off!"

Jack sighed, this time he was actually disappointed, he had no plan and thought he had failed

"But why? You've always believed in me, why stop now?"

Clary sighed and said "Jack, I do believe in you, but this, this is different"

Jack looks to the ground and takes a deep breath, he then reaches into his pocket and takes out a coin;

"Open your hands" Jack said calmly, Clary extended her open palms towards him.

He then took the coin and placed it on her hand, and with a delicate motion he hovered his hand above hers, and the coin wasn't there, he made it disappear. Clary was amazed, she smiled and laughed slightly.

"I finally made the coin disappear" Jack said with a smile.

"Yeah, you did, didn't you?"

"And I wouldn't have been able to do it, if you hadn't asked me to"

Clary didn't know what to say, she smiled and looked to the ground.

"Clary, listen, I can't do this without you, none of us can. Me, Bruce and Kyle, we need you, or else we'll fail. And we'll actually end up in jail"

Clary covered her eyes with her hand and said in a low and uncertain voice "I don't know Jack"

"Please?"

Clary sighed and asked "What about Tanner?"

Jack smiled and said "I figured I should leave you to convince him"

"You are one of the craziest people I've ever met, you know that?"

"I know"

Clary smiled and confidently said "Okay"

"Okay? You're in?" Jack didn't think he'd actually convince her, so he was surprised.

"Yeah I'm in; I wouldn't miss out on this much adventure!"

"Yes!" Jack stood up and started skipping around the street shouting "Yeah!"

He went up to Clary and said;

"Okay listen, tomorrow we're going to meet, at the same café, to discuss the final plan. Bring Tanner and come, okay?"

Clary laughed and said "Okay"

"Good, I gotta run"

Jack said as he ran off, he still had to go to Kyle's place, since Kyle won't answer any phones based on his request. But Jack wasn't fully satisfied yet, he knew that this was the easiest part of the adventure, and he knew that it was just the beginning
