The Plan

Chapter 9: One Last Song

Jack went to Kyle's house. Kyle was alarmed, he thought he'd tell him that they already booked the plane; 

"Jack, hey, you're done already?" 

"No no, I'm here to tell you that we are meeting tomorrow." 

"Why?" 

"We're going to discuss the final part of the plan." 

"Oh, okay."

 Jack could see that Kyle was unsettled. 

"You're worried, aren't you?" 

 "Yeah, a little bit" 

"I am too. But you shouldn't worry; your part is the least dangerous" 

"Still, doesn't mean it's not dangerous, Jack"

Jack didn't know how to reply, he just stared at Kyle sighed and said;"I...I should probably go." 

"Yeah, see you tomorrow I guess" 

"Yeah see you." 

Meanwhile Clary thought of how she'll convince her brother, Tanner. She came up with a plan and went into his room. He was laying on the couch and playing video games. 

"Tanner, can we talk?" 

"Sure, talk" he says as he continues playing.

"I was thinking, let's do something fun!" 

"What kind of fun?"

"Umm, well Jack, Kyle and Bruce are going on a trip" 

"Oh cool, where?" 

"The Caribbean" 

 Tanner paused his game and sat upright "Wait, the Caribbean?" 

"Yeah, and they were wondering if we could go with them?" 

Tanner was shocked, he smiled and said "And how exactly are they going?"

Clary smiled and said "By plane" 

"Stolen plane?" 

Clary looked at him for a while and calmly said "Yeah, stolen plane" 

Tanner smiled and said 

"Are you serious?" 

"Yes! Imagine all the money you'll have, the video games you could buy, the..." 

"Clary, Clary" Tanner interrupted "No need to convince me, I'm with you!" 

"What? You are?" Clary said excitedly. 

"Yes! Ever since we talked about that plan, I've been imagining how great it would be if we do it!" 

Clary laughed, she was relieved that she didn't have trouble in convincing him.Tanner then asks; 

"But what about you? Why are you doing this?" 

"I don't know" Calmly replied Clary "I guess I want to live the adventure, what about you?" 

"Me? Well, all my life I've played games of people doing great things, and always imagined what I'd do when I get the opportunity to do something like that. This is it, this is the opportunity, and I'm not gonna let it pass by" 

"Neither will I" 

Clary said confidently.The next day, the five met at the café. They greeted each other, then Jack said;

 "Okay, you know what's gonna happen; Kyle pretends to be a terrorist, gets the police off our back, Bruce causes a distraction..." 

Then Bruce interrupts "And I'll cut of the power from the whole area, that way it'll be safer" 

Jack continues "Good. Then Clary and tanner rob a bank, get the money to the airport, where I would've robbed an airplane, and we'll take off for the Caribbean" 

They all stare silently at Jack, Bruce then says "Of course that's in dummy terms, the actual plan is here" 

He proceeds to hand out papers to each one explaining what they would do. They all read theirs carefully. 

Kyle then says "Wait, if my part is so important, why did you even accept on doing this before asking me?" 

Jack looks to the ground and whispers "Here we go" 

Bruce then asks "Wait, what are you talking about? I was the last person to accept" 

Clary then says "No, I was the last one Jack told!" she then looks at jack with her eyebrow raised "Jack?" 

Jack looks up to her and calmly says "In my defense, you were the ony one I actually told the truth to"

 "Ughh, I can't believe this" said Bruce angrily. 

"What!" exclaims Jack "How else was I going to convince you?" 

"So you lied to us?" Kyle says in a disappointed voice. 

"Listen, I said that Bruce, Clary and Tanner will be part of this plan, and here they are, I didn't lie"

 Tanner then exclaims "Guys, guys, clam down! The important thing is that we are all here, and we're all convinced" 

"Yeah I guess" said Kyle. 

 They all went home, and started preparing. Kyle booked a flight for the following week, Bruce bought the weapons and parachutes, he also marked the truck and jet ski they are going to hijack, Jack surveyed the airport area, Clary and Tanner practiced with guns and brushed up on their driving skills. They knew that the next few days were the calm before the storm, and they were ready!
