Chris invited me over for dinner which was sweet of him to do that

I invited Daryl over for dinner he's been checking me out since we met which is cute
Daryl knocked on the door and Chris answered the door
Chris: you made it just in time come on
Daryl: thanks you didn't have to invite me
Chris: oh I know but I wanted to
Daryl cheeks were red from blushing Chris did it once again
Chris: well let's sit and eat shall we
So they came to the kitchen and Chris was a gentleman
Chris: here you go(pulled his chair out for him)
Daryl: thank you
Chris: your welcome
So they sat down and began eating dinner Daryl never had this before with anyone so it was new
Chris: so you seeing anyone
Daryl: no I'm single
Chris: why is it that
Daryl: I ....just haven't found the one yet I guess
Chris: don't worry he's out there somewhere might be even closer than you think
Daryl: I hope so(noticed a picture on the wall) who is that
Chris: that's my daughter she's my everything
Daryl: she's beautiful looks just like you
Chris: ahh thank you I get that a lot
Daryl: your welcome
Chris: so what happened to your relationship you don't have to tell me if your not ready
Daryl frozen for a moment he never heard anyone say that to him but Chris was so different that for some reason he wanted to tell him
Daryl: he slept with my best friend of ten years
Chris: oh I'm sorry to hear that
Daryl: it's fine....i really loved him you know I thought he loved me but I was wrong
Chris grabbed his hand to comfort him and to let him everything going to be ok ....daryl felt electricity in his body and felt so at ease
Chris: everything going to be ok you didn't deserve that at all
Daryl: I know but it hurt me so I wished them both the best
Chris: that's all you can do
Daryl: wow I never actually told anyone that
Chris: really
Daryl: yes
Chris: what's changed
Daryl; I don't know I guess ....since you opened up to me about your last relationship I felt comfortable enough to tell you which never happens
Chris: that's a good thing then
Daryl; yes it is
Chris could tell that Daryl wanted to ask him something but he didn't force or rush it
Daryl: so what do you do besides sing
Chris: I paint
Daryl: really
