"Who am i being good for?"
if the answer you got from yourself says otherwise than Allah as the reason, fix your heart.
All of your good deeds will get payed by Allah. not his creations.
Don't stop being kind, stop being naive. Throw away all the grudge, our duties is to forgive, not forget, not to hurt them back. wins against them by leaving and never let them take advantage of you again. Treat them in the way they deserve. They deserve your silent. They deserve your absence.
